Hi guys!

Anyway this is just a little one shot I did about Cody and Bailey. Cody is having problems saying two simple words to Bailey. This is Cailey, so Zailey, and Lody fans run as fast as you can.

Silver Letters

He stood outside looking into the nearly empty café, his perfectly combed blond hair getting in his eyes. He wore jeans and a hoodie that read Seven Seas High. Rain poured down on Boston, and he was soaking wet. But did Cody Martin care? No. He had something he had to do. He wanted to, but he couldn't. He didn't have the nerve. He'd tried so many times, started the sentence only to leave it hanging with a bad excuse hastily pinned to the end.

"Marry me." He said under his breath, "Simple as that. Two words, it should be easy."

It so wasn't going to be easy.

He pulled his hood up, and slid into the café and into a booth by the door. There she was; eyes closed, head back against the red leather seat, iPod headphones in. He could hear her singing softly through the dimmed room. "Marry me, if I ever get the nerve to say hello in this cafe, Ma-a-a-a-r-y me!"

The front of the café was a floor-to-ceiling window with a door smack in the middle. On any other day it would have let light pour into the room, but today it was dark. The lights were dimmed. At the back of the room was a cherry-wood counter with no one behind it. The other two walls had booths pushed against them; Bailey Pickett sat in one on the left.

A waitress walked out of the back room, towards Cody's table, but he waved her away. He didn't want to talk. He had to prepare himself for what was to come. "Forever could never be long enough for me. You wear white and I wear out the words I love you," Bailey's voice drifted across the room.

"And your beautiful." He continued on a whim, "Now that the wait is over, and love has finally shown her my way." Bailey looked up startled, and gazed at him. Her eyes questioned him, but she sung back, her music floating across the café.

"M-a-a-a-a-a-r-y me, today and everyday," she sang softly.

"If I ever get the nerve to say hello in this café," Cody continued. He stood, and walked over to her booth. He slid into the seat to the other side of her, and gazed into her eyes.

"Forever could never be long enough for me. I feel like I've had long enough with you. Forget the world now, we won't let them see, but there's one thing left to do. Now that the weight has lifted, and love has surely shifted my way: m-a-a-a-a-r-y me!"

"Cody what are you doing here?" she asked.

"I have something to ask you." He told her. Then to make everything that much more simple he took from his pocket a black case. He slid it across the table. She took it, and opened it. Her gasp was audible as she gazed at the sparkling diamond ring glittering up from her in the case. It was beautiful, and she gazed at it for the longest time.

"Marry me?" Cody asked simply, "Make me the happiest man on the face of the earth?"

She looked at him and sang quietly, "Together could never be close enough for me, to feel like I am close enough to you." Slowly she leaned across the table and kissed him on the lips.

"Of course I will." She said.
