Background
100 years ago George Schnee, the new owner of the Schnee dust company was drilling and came across the biggest ice dust crystal ever found. The crystal was about the size of a medium sized city. As investigation of the massive crystal continued the researchers found that in the center of the crystal was a large concentration of pure ice aura. The scientist analyzed the aura and found that it was giving power to the entire crystal which made it very powerful.
George then decided to take his findings and research to the world council. The world council consisted of one man and one woman from each land of the world. When the council found out about the crystal they decided to search and see if there were any more like it. They eventually found that every dust crystal known to man has a corresponding giant crystal just like it but scattered around the world.
The council decided to hand pick the best guards, scientist, strategist, and miners from each land and set up stations around the crystals to protect and inspect them. These outposts took the name of Guardians of the Dust (or The Guards for short). The Guards soul purpose was to keep the power out of the wrong hands and the knowledge into the good hands. They started out with small outpost with just barbed wire fence and a few watch towers ,but then escalated to large cities with research labs, Guard training schools, weapons manufactures ,and even an entire city fueled by the power of the crystals. Soon the Cities of the Guards became even more advanced than the District of the World Council.
