The way of the ninja

Description: Kuroko Tetsuya or how he goes by the name 'phantom' is one of the strongest ninjas in Japan. No one knows how but he emits alot of presence in the day but at night he is literally invisible. He has a narrow frame and fragile features it gives everyone the urge to want to keep him as a pet, little did they know, that they had been flirting with the feared one. His identity has been carefully concealed for the longest time. Until one day, his carelessness revealed his features to a certain red head ninja, during a mission. What will he do now? With so many underhand secrets to uncover and a psychopath to shake off how will his life change after a peculiar mission?

(A/N: Hi! First story in OAO I do not own any kuroko no basuke characters , they are owned by fujimaki~ but I OWN THIS STORY no plagiarizing (^_^)/ If you guys are confused, a slight note, the characters use their real name when talking normally but when during missions, they use code names.)

prologue: The facade of Kuroko Tetsuya

Nobody knows who the phantom is, all they know is the little bits and pieces of information they get from articles. Nobody, except a group of well trained ninjas who call themselves the 'Seirin clan' and a few others. But in order to bring success back for all his missions, keeping his identity a secret for the phantom is more important than oxygen.

In the day, he is a ordinary citizen who gets an abnormal amount of sexual tension from almost everyone be it stranger,
classmate or friend.
That day was not any different. Kuroko walked pass a gang of delinquents

"Hey babe, got time today?" One of them placed an arm around his shoulder, but Kuroko just shrugged it off "feisty, I love fiesty..."He licked his lips while placing his right hand on kuroko's chin

"Gomenasai, I am late for school," he lied.

Before they could do anything sneaky, a man with multi coloured hair and a muscular build placed an arm over the teal boy's fragile shoulders.

"Oi! Paws off, what's mine!" He smirked.

"K-kagami-kun?"

Kuroko covered the blush with his usual emotional face."Yours? Ha! Don't make me laugh!" The ganguro planted a punch at Kagami , failing miserably as Kagami skillfully dodged it and did a back thrust toward diaphragm, sending the man flying backwards. The rest of the gang tried to save their pride by attacking the muscular man however suffering the saw fate as their leader. "Y-you!" The gangsters started to inch back,

"scram." The red glared at the retreating figures.

The was a silence for 3 minutes as they walked aimlessly "...arigato...gouzaimas..." The ghostly boy spoke slowly but sincerely,"hmm." The red head hummed in acknowledgement "but was it necessary to lie that I was your boyfriend?" Kuroko spoke brazenly. " Kagami simply brushed it off, being used to his boldness... "I know ,sweet. We had to find a way out just now didn't we?" The blunette nodded "now 'phantom' we have to be quick, Master Val is expecting you to be on his office at 2, new mission updates... "Oh." The 'phantom' deadpanned as he checked his watch '1.58 p.m'

"Let's go."

2.01 p.m at the head office

" Kuro, you're late." A voice behind the office chair said, displeasingly. The chair spun around revealing a man with only a black blaiser with no shirt, sunglasses, and had a Vulcan tattooed across his chest to his right arm.

"Taiga I told you not to late didn't I make it clear enough?" His rough voice made his words sound even more threatening, "I'm sorry master, we miscalculated ... The time... I deeply apolgise." Kagami bowed.

" hmmm I should punis-"

"No, wait don't punish Kagami- kun he meant no harm it was I, who miscalculated the timing. Punish me instead master." Kuroko pleaded.

Master Val was always known to be a mafia boss, but after overthrowing the boss of a powerful ninja clan in an unexpected street fight, it was only right as the way of a ninja that he step down and give his place to the winner of the fight,
Unfortunately...
But Val's punishments are always known to be the unjust and the most painful punishments they could have. And for those who knew, they would always pray for Seirin's health. But the punishments get pushed up a notch for the apple of his eye. In Seirin's case, it was their phantom. So, for him to take his friend's punishment, is considered a huge sacrifice. Yet, only two knew what punishment it was.

"Is that so Kuro?" Val licked his lips, sending shivers down the teal boy's spine.
"No let me!"
"It's ok Kagami-kun."
"No!"
"It's ok."
"No!"
"It-"
"Damn shut up. Annoying pricks. I'll let you off this time. Anyway I called you guys here for a mission." The Vulcan like boss said in a pissed tone.
Kagami and Kuroko secretly fist bumped each other behind their master's back. "What's the mission , master?" Kuroko asked respectfully. "Go to the Rakuzan Clan. Get the loot. Tonight, at 9."
"Yes master."

That night

"You guys have to be careful at Rakuzan. There are rumors of mysterious deaths and bruises of ninjas at Rakuzan ad it is caused by one man!" Aida Riko started "becareful." The multi-coloured male fought back "Riko-san don't underestimate me and kuroko! Anyway if there is trouble I will protect kuro-" "Bakagami! Kuroko if anything happens protect him!" The brunette cut him off. "O-Oi! I c-"
"I got it. Let's go kagami-kun." The phantom jumped out of the window, after fixing his mask, arm guards, leg guards and his Katana.

"Oi! Oi! Kuroko! " Taiga frantically put on his mask and guards and followed after him.

"Come back safe!"

They skillfully jumped off the roof and landed softly on the ground not even cracking a twig, and spared no second to dash through the alley, jump on the walls and land on the next roof... Right when Kuroko jumped off the roof, a dagger accurately aimed at his torso appeared out of the blue.
The ghostly boy grabbed his attacker's wrist with the dagger and did a turning kick towards his head, but his reflexes were equally fast and reproduced the exact same movement as Kuroko, a turning kick to the head. However, being blocked and flipped by the phantom.

"Oi! Copycat! Roll out immediately he is not our target, quick you idiot before he finds out our identity!" His companion smacked the masked blonde in the head. "Hai! Kasa-San!"

"Kuro! What happened here? Are you okay?" The multicolored haired partner appeared the same time the two left,

"hai, Tai-san. Just a confused pair..." Kuro monotonously spoke, "Rakuzan clan is apparently underground and the only way to get in is a heavily guarded entrance so if you are ready, Tai-San, let's go..."

"Seijuurou- sama! We have been on guard for two weeks now! But nothing happened... Can we at least have a break tonight?" Reo Mibuchi pleaded Rakuzan's emperor,

" No slacking off Mibuchi, go and tell the rest that if they fall asleep during duty." The red-head intentionally pause, " extra training times three. Dismissed."He waved the dark haired male away.

"Understood." Reo said sadly, 'not like anything bad is going to happen tonight...' He thought.

"Who knows Mibuchi something might happen." The heterochromatic eyed teen read Reo's mind. "HEOL!" He plastered his mouth shut.

"Don't you dare question me. I am absolute."

"On the count of three." Kagami whispered. They were now standing right of top of the secret passage, ready to enter into the mysterious Rakuzan clan.
"One."
Kuroko steadied himself
"Two."
Kagami took out his double edged sword.
"Three!"
They both jumped straight into the hole leading to the secret hideout, as landed in a battle stance.

No threat on the left.

No threat on the right

Nothing
"What is going on?" Taiga asked himself and (or) Kuroko. Kagami started to let his guard down, and lowered his weapons taking small steps through the hallway when...

"Tai-San! It's a trap!"

The phantom shouted for his friend who's right ankle now, has been placed through a noose and hung upside down. A man in black appeared from the corner of the room and shot a ninja star right towards Kagami. Kuroko used his katana and blocked the weapon from injuring his partner and sliced off the rope of the noose in the process.

"Go first, Tai-San I'll handle this one."

Kuro held his Katana in offense, getting ready to strike his opponent and his opponent also wielded his blade ready for an attack.
It did not take long before the victor emerged. The teal boy calmly walked away from the unconscious body.

As the phantom ventured through in search for his partner, he ran into a few more opponents, which he easily destroyed and wondered if Kagami was doing okay, since those were some worthy opponents.
He walked on for at least 10 minute before he found an peculiar door that stood out from the rest of the other rooms. A plain brown wooden door with the word 'gold' carved on it... That word seemed to lure Kuroko towards that room 'gold' it read 'GOLD' it was like a hypnotic effect dragging Kuroko into that room and soon enough the masked boy's hand was already on the door knob. He remained in battle stance as he entered the chamber, getting ready for a trap.
The usually emotionless boy's eyes widened in amazement at the amount of gold in the room, stacks of gold on his left and right, front and back , top and bottom. They were stacked on top of each other almost like it was like never-ending. And soon enough, the boy took of his mask as a reflex of the awe he just experience. Yet, he could not shake off the feeling of being watched.

Light Blue hair that matches brilliantly with the same coloured azure blue eyes, as if telling you a story, or looking at a calming cloudless sky... It made Akashi Seijuurou so relaxed that he almost dropped his double-swords... The emperor had been camouflaged at the corner of the room since he got the news that an intruder had finally managed to break in. But what made him even more hyped is that the news of the intruder being the notorious Phantom. However, he was not expecting the 'phantom' to look so ideal. And distracting, so Akashi responded with his instincts,

"hey, your the phantom right?"

He started, making Kuroko gasp in shock and quickly realise his stupid mistake of taking off his mask, thus hurriedly tried to put it back on, but stopped by the red head.

"Why are you letting this mask cover your true beauty?"Akashi acted rashly and pinned Kuroko to the nearest wall and tried to rob a quick peck on his plump lips, Tetsuya moved away just in time before his face becomes a 'lollipop'

"I'm sorry but my lips only belongs my master." He averted his eyes from the red head,

"Then tell me, 'phantom' who is your 'master'?"
" definitely not you for that matter."

The shorter male blatantly answered, making Akashi annoyed- slightly.

"Do you dare defy me?"

"No, no I'm not." He paused, "I'm just buying time."
"Huh?" The emperor was indeed in a confused state but when he turned around he could see a tiger-like male grabbing a bag full of gold bars and tossing it to Akashi's new found lover.
"Let's go Kuro!"
"Hai. Tai-san!"
Kuroko tried leaving but his arm guard got gripped by Akashi. He then had no other choice but to sacrifice that arm guard and run away with his master's loot.

Akashi Seijuurou stared at the arm guard in his hand, "we will meet again, soon

...Kuro." And he gave his infamous maniac smirk.
