Dreamings
He's there with you and you feel you could never be happier. You have loved him for so long that you could never have wished that he would love you in return. You're both Jedi.
Even then, his emotions and feelings get the better of him. He was not raised like you. He was ripped from his mother at the tender age of nine, after nearly ten years of love and attachment. He does not know the Code like you do.
You know you should not have given into his love, no matter how long you have longed for it. You know he had feelings for Senator Amidala, but you don't know anymore. You don't even care anymore. The war is too distracting for anything but survival and the chance to lie in his arms at any spare time you have.
You hope that nothing will tear you two apart, but you know that something will. You are too wise to think that you two will be left happily alone. You would follow him to the ends of the galaxy, but you feel he would not do the same.
You just don't know anymore, you used to put faith in the Code, but the war is making it seem as if the rules have changed. You haven't been able to put your faith fully in the force since that day that that thing, that Sith cut down Qui-Gon all those years ago on Naboo when you were only twenty-five. Far too young to have an apprentice. Far too young to be a Knight.
And you could never put your faith in Anakin. He is too unpredictable, his emotions too unstable. He may be the love of your life, but no matter how much you try to believe, he is too restless to be faithful. But this is the dream of you and him.
This is the dream of Obi-Wan and Anakin.
