Okay, so I was bored one day and was thinking about writing a one-shot. I know it's a really short one-shot, but oh well. I also used a quote from the Avengers, but changed it up a little. Tell me in the reviews if you spot it. And if you have any ideas like this one, then pm me or review! Please review! I would like to know what people thought of the writing style. I wasn't too sure about it. Tell me in the comments!
The knights were outside the locked armory door with Merlin locked inside. Merlin was the one who locked the door while they were chasing after him. They were yelling at Merlin to unlock the door while kicking and body slamming it to try to open it themselves. Yelling at Merlin not to do it, what ever he was planning, and soon his reply came.
"The Druids think me immortal. Shall we test that?" Merlin raised the dagger he got from the table above his head. Before bringing it down the knights had finally barged through the door, frantically looking for him. When he was finally spotted, Merlin turned his head and looked at them with his famous toothy grin, before plunging the dagger into his stomach. The knights had no time to react and stop him, they stood there, wide eyed, and horror struck. Their bumbling, happy friend had just killed himself.
Merlin looked down and an audible ow sounded through the room as he pulled the dagger out of his stomach. A clutter echoed in the room when the dagger dropped to the floor. With a little hiss, Merlin lifted his shirt and turned to his friends.
"Hey guys, look at this." The knights had no time to call out for a guard as they watched his stomach heal itself. Gold light shimmered through his skin and located to the wound and closed it.
Arthur had an appald look to his face and so did many of the knights as they watched Merlin laugh maniacally. Gwaine was the first one to step toward their crazed friend.
"Merlin?"
"Yes Gwaine?"
"You know you just stabbed yourself purposely. Are you alright?"
"Of course I am! Why wouldn't I be on such a fine day as this?" The knights sometimes had days like this, where Merlin's destiny was weighing too much on him and his sanity snaps and he looses his mind once and a while. They had learned of Merlin's magic quite a while ago, so when he mentioned the Druids, it brought no surprise to the knights. Merlin seemed to continue ranting about the day, that was, until Gwaine struck him upon his head with the hilt of his sword. Promptly knocking him out.
Arthur finally snapped out of the horror and lurched forward, catching Merlin before he hit the ground. He gave Gwaine a disapproving look as he shifted Merlin. Like the normal routine - when Merlin looses his sanity - they brought Merlin to Gaius, just an unconsious one this time. They soon went and continued their day like it was any other and checking up with Merlin throughout the day.
