A Sean And A Dermott
Seven knights of the round table
Dressed in their everyday clothes
Like the knights of the round table
All dressed in their armor and their swords in easy reach
The men in their everyday clothes
Discussed the matter at hand
How to get the British out of their land
Since when do they belong in the land of the green white and gold
While the knights discuss how to slay the common dragon
Sean Mac Diarmada
Or rather
Sean McDermott
The brains of the round table
To try and free Ireland from a horrible fate
Compared to the knights of the round table the almighty King Arthur
He was able to slay the dragon and gain the confidence of any and all people all round
Sean Mac Diarmada
Not so much sure the people of Ireland respect everything and anything he does
But some of his prophecies unfulfilled
Even if he was the leader of men in their everyday clothes
Trying to tell the British to tell them take their English soldiers and go the hell home
The men in the everyday clothes
All seven of them Thomas J. Clarke, James Connolly, Joseph Plunkett, Thomas MacDonagh, Sean Mae Diarmada, Eamonn Ceannt and P.H. Pearse
Who signed the Proclamation
Had different personalities
Whose stories would be told later down the road by their descendants
About all the struggle and hardships they all choose to go through
To make Ireland free for all those to see
But the cost of their hard work was to be at the receiving end of a firing squad
They took it in their stride yes they did
They didn't look backwards but forwards because they thought their cause wasn't going to loss
Or so all seven men thought
As they were all sentenced by the barrister
To DEATH! Shot by a firing squad in the dead early morning light
You'd think the British English found something wrong with this executing seven men
Well guess again!
