Mitchie Torres was very happy these last couple of weeks because she got to spend them with her boyfriend Shane Grey. They met at camp one year ago and have been dating ever since. Since he was a lead singer in a very popular group called Connect 3, he was always either on tour or busy writing new songs. But when he was free of all the chaos, he spent all of his time with Mitchie. Everything was perfect in Mitchie's life. She has amazing friends, great family and a wonderful boyfriend who loves her. But she was slowly becoming less and less happy because of Shane's ex girlfriend, Amanda, She came back from her long trip to Australia recently and decided that she wanted Shane back ignoring the fact that he has a girlfriend. Ever since her arrival, Mitchie has been doubting Shane's feelings towards her because he was so friendly with Amanda, not noticing that she wanted him back. Mitchie was not about to give up on Shane that easily.

Mitchie was walking to Shane's house when she heard laughter coming from inside. She peeked inside and saw her boyfriend with Amanda. She became furious so she barged in the house tears streaming down her face.

"What the hell, Shane?" Mitchie said yelling."Why is she here?"

"Mitch. We were just talking." Shane said coming towards her. "Please let me explain." He said begging her.

"I can't be here right now." She said before she burst into tears.

Shane looked at Amanda and she motioned for him to follow her. Shane mouthed a 'thank you' and ran after Mitchie in the rain. After a few minutes of running, he finally caught up with her.

"Mitchie, stop and listen to me." He said grabbing her hand.

"I don't want to listen to you." Mitchie said stubbornly not looking at him.

He tilted her chin and looked in her eyes and said "I promise you there is nothing going on with me and Amanda. "

"But she still loves you. And she's much prettier than me. Why would you be with me when you can be with her?" she said sadly.

Shocked at her words Shane said "Mitch you are beautiful. Yes I still care about her and I care about you too. I don't want to be with her I want to be with you."

"But why? I want to know why?" Mitchie said still crying.

"Because I love you not her. Yes I used to love her but that was before I fell in love with you. I've changed a lot."He said wiping away her tears.

"Why do you love me and not her?" She asked.

"Because I love how you nose crinkles when you smile and how you always cry at the end of romantic movies or when you fall asleep with your head on my shoulder or when you blush every time I compliment you."He responded smiling at her. "And because even when your hair is all messed up and you don't have your makeup on and you're wearing your pajamas or sweats, to me you're the most beautiful girl in the world."

Mitchie couldn't help but smile through her tears. She didn't know what to say so she answered in the only way she knew Shane would understand. She slowly pressed her lips against his. He smiled and wrapped his arms around her waist while she put her arms around his neck. Shane pulled away smiling. "So now do you know why I love you and not her?" he asked.

"Yeah. I have an idea." Mitchie answered teasing him.

"Well in that case, I can go on all night." Shane said. "I also love that you..." He started to talk but was interrupted by Mitchie.

"Shane stop talking and kiss me." She said smiling.

"Yes m'am." He said and did as told.

Mitchie Torres now knew exactly why Shane loved her.
