This takes place just after the Duelist Kingdom. I am using the anime version of Yu-Gi-Oh.
As Kaiba sat down on his chair, he mentally went though what had happened at Pegasus's mansion. After he had won against Yugi, he had challenged Pegasus, only to get
trapped in that godforsaken Soul Card! Sure, there were others to share in his fate to talk with (with telepathy, no less) but Mokuba only reminded him of his failure, and the old coot could only blather on about the 'heart of the cards'. He only gave Yugi's grandfather credit for contacting Yugi so that they could warn him about Pegasus.
However, having to rely on his #1 enemy only added to the humiliation. Thank goodness everything was back to normal.
"Kaiba..." he heard a voice call.
"Who's there? Show yourself!" he yelled, sitting up suddenly and quickly looking around.
"You.. You heard me?" it said, sounding surprised.
"Of course I heard you! Now reveal yourself!" Suddenly, a younger version of him appeared in the corner of his office. "It's... It's you!" he yelped. "Who.. ARE you?"
"Your hiraki," he said. "And you're.. my yami!" With that, the boy disappeared. Kaiba decided he'd better go see Yugi, and fast.
