Chapter 1: Forward
The sound of breaking glass shattered the dark air of the night on the slightly-demonic street. The little kid in house 776 new exactly what it was, as it was almost every night.
CLICK.
Even the sound of a cocking gun was evident in the little of the night. House number 777 wasn't the heavenly dream it's number fortold. No. It would never be that way, no matter how many owners would live in it. It reeked of death from 20 feet away. Maybe even the doormat would warn people, blaring "Go Away" like a siren announcing the approaching atom bomb. But it was nights like these when the victim secretly wished someone would approach.
"This is it, doughboys... I' going to do it. I'm sick of sitting and rotting here in this gloomy god-forsaken house. Fuck, I'm stuck monologing again. Anyways, I can't go on living this way. I've done too much damage to stay here and continue my horrible carnage. Too much has gone down in my name. And thanks to me, not only is the neighbor boy terrified of every little thing, but I've lost my one true love. It's time to end it. And join the stars in their neverending blinking"
The skinny man stuffed the gun up against his temple and closed his eyes. He pulled the trigger.
No bang.
"Nny, you retard. You forgot to load it," one of the doughboys yelled as he twitched. Johnny stared at the lifeless gun with no expression. "This must be a sign. This must mean I can't die. I'm SUPPOSED to LIVE!!" He sat down on his couch and laughed, but it wasn't long before he was crying again, pulling the trigger over and over and over again, without even trying anymore. Soon, he was laying on the couch in the fetal position, attempting to sob himself into some sort of a sleep.
"Look at the pathetic human. He can't even cry himself to sleep. What a pity," the other doughboy grinned as he listened to Johnny's whimpered sighs carry into the night.
