I do not own the Mortal Instruments

Love?

Is love real? Or is it something we only see in films and read about in books. Can you really prove love or is it just a fantasy?

If love wasnt real then why was Clary alone and feeling as though she had just wasted the last three years with someone who she believed was her soul mate. Was it that she simply just felt lonely without him or that she just felt the shear magnitude of facing a future without him.

Her family were worried that she had lost herself to him. She hardly ate and took no joy in her work or friends. She seemed to be a shell of her former self only doing things out of routine rather than engaging with the world. She had given up so much for him but surely she would get over it? They believed that she would return to her bubbly, life loving self. But could she? Only time would tell.

Three years previously...

Clary held the directions nervously as she wound down the windows and asked for the directions to where she would be living for her first year of University life. Her mother sat across from her in the driving seat and smiled. It was a muggy day with light grey clouds and little sunshine. But for Clary it meant that she was finally gaining her freedom and moving out of home. Even though her petite frame made her seem younger than 18 she was about to set of on one lifes biggest adventures.

Univeristy had not always been what Clary imagined she would do with life but when her art work had been spotted by the Director of the University of the Arts London. He gave Clary an offer she couldn't refuse a full Scholarship to study what she loved at the leading Arts University in Europe. To her it all felt like a dream.

After reaching the right car park she stepped out of her mothers bright orange Micra into her new world. One that would change Clary forever.
