Undestined Dreams3

Disclaimer: Guess what? I don't own them! Wow!

Author's Note: There is going to be one more part after this one. This one is about the twins mainly. I hope you like it and I'll try and get the final part written soon. Though I shouldn't be talkin', It hasn't even been 24 hours since I wrote the first part and I'm already writing the third. Sheesh.

Undestined Dreams: Part Three

Push, Amidala, push! Sabe commanded her queen.

Amidala breathed short, raspy breaths as she struggled to bring her children into the world. Oh gods, Anakin. Anakin! Amidala screamed. But he did not come to her.

Luke and Leia were born just as the sun was rising.

Later, as Amidala stared at her children sleeping peacefully, she felt another presence in the room. She turned and smiled at Obi-Wan. He smiled back at her. How are they?

she replied. He looks just like Ani.

Obi-Wan walked over and looked down at the sleeping Luke Skywalker. Yes, he does. He looked at Amidala. They can't stay with you...you know that.

Amidala nodded, sadly. Yes...I know, but...

It is for the best Amidala, Obi-Wan continued, his voice quiet. They could be killed if Anakin finds them...

If Vader finds them, Amidala corrected him coldly.

Obi-Wan nodded, looking down at the floor. I'm sorry I couldn't save him. I tried Amidala, but...it was just...too late.

I know you tried Obi-Wan, Amidala said, patting his hand gently. Where are you taking Luke?'

I have a brother on Tatooine. He and his wife will be happy to take him in. Where are you taking Leia?

To Alderaan. I'm giving her to Bail Organa. He's always wanted a little girl.

We need to go.

Amidala sighed. She picked up her two children and carried them towards the ship that would eventually separate them. She hoped one day they would find each other, that they would learn the truth about their pasts. She knew she would probably never see them again, but as long as there was that hope it was worth it. She thought again of their father, her beloved Anakin, who didn't even know about them. Even thought she knew it was too late, she still wished he had known about them.

Maybe it would have saved him...
