Artemis dragged herself for walk after her hard day. She and Deadshot had been raiding a warehouse when some of the team showed up. The team consisted of that new Robin, Blue Beetle, Conner, and that cousin of Wally. She had tried to make sure that none of the team got hurt, but Robin hit his head pretty hard. When Artemis went to check to see if he was alive, Conner almost broke her arm. If Robin's Kryptonite case hadn't accidentally opened, Artemis might have been captured or killed.
Artemis finally stopped walking, not wanting to walk more. She looked up to the house that she was standing at, knowing she shouldn't be there. She should leave, but instead, she peeked into a window. It was the one in the kitchen. Artemis slowly entered Wally's and her home, making sure no one was watching. She heard noises from the bedroom. Slowly creeping toward the bedrooms, she tried to fight down the urge to kill the person in the room. A quick peek into the room revealed Wally in just his boxers going through her dresser.
"Which one should I use tonight?" Wally whispered softly. He finally took out her favorite shirt. "This one."
"I don't think that would look good on you." Wally jerked at Artemis's voice. Wally's eyes met her eyes, and the smile on Wally face melted Artemis's heart.
"ARTEMIS!" Wally was hugging her the next second, his arm squeezing against her injured arm. "Is it over?" Artemis shook her head.
"Not yet. I... I had the most shittest day. I just started to walk and I ended up here." Artemis allowed herself sink into his body. "I should go back."
"I wish I could say I would never allow you to go back. You... You don't belong there." Her mind drifted back to the battle and she let out a sigh. "Tell me about this shitty day."
"Can you do me a favor first and ask Dick how Tim is doing. I had to fight the team." Wally let go.
"Sure, babe. Are you okay?" Artemis shook her head. Wally look closely at Artemis then gently grab her injured arm. He pulled up her sleeve to see the handprint forming. "Who did this?"
"Conner. I was trying to check on Tim after Tim got injured. Conner was just trying to protected him."
"... This is hard. Sit down, I get the first aid kit." Artemis sat on their bed and shut her eyes. She slowly took off her shirt and dropped it to the side. Maybe a bath would be nice.
"Dick said that the team is fine. I told him that you sent a message," Wally's voice was above her. Her eyes slowly opened to look at him. Wally knelt down next to her. "Artemis, I love you."
"I love you too, Wally." Artemis smiled at him. "Before you doctor me up, why don't we take a shower real quick." Wally gave her a huge smile.
Hours later, Artemis stand stood at the door about to leave with Wally standing next to her.
"Hey, Baywatch. Why were you going through my clothing. None of it would look good on you."
"I can only sleep when your smell is nearby." Wally turned red. "Be careful, my little archer." Artemis gave him a slight kiss.
"Sure, you too."
