The Blooming Petulant Days of Winter
Chapter 1: Our Heroes Meet
"Hello," I murmured daintily, as I unobtrusively smiled in the direction towards the bright-blond-haired boy who stood directly in front of me, "my name is Alice Cullen."
My name isn't verily Alice Cullen; it was the moniker that I had adopted for myself some years before. I was born Mary Alice Brandon but I have since renounced the name for reasons that stem from the many personal tradgidies and turmoils that I myself have been forced to endure myself. I flaunt short and spiky hair the darkest shade of ebony, and my skin is alalobster pale. My eyes are a rich butterscotch at the currant time, but soon they will have deepened to a color more mysterious than my hair. I've been told many a time that I bear a striking resemblance to Snow White.
I'm also a vampire, and hereoin lies the route of all my troubles.
I care a great deal about fashion. I hate Hot Topic and would never buy any of my clothes from there. Everything must match, and I firmly declare that one can never have too many pares of shoes. Today I was clad in a deep emerald sweater, beneath whitch I wore a clean white tank top, a medium washed denim skirt that just caressed my knees, and flats that were the exact same shade of green as my sweater, I also had donned as an accessory a headband that also was green. I enjoy shopping a great deal and I excpect that I will have to set forth soon again on another expedition. I expect that this boy in front of me will ask me out to the concerts. I have premonitions regulary, you see, it's one of my superpowers that stem from my vampiric tendices.
"Hey, Alice," he reciprocated. His name was... "Jasper Whitlock."
"What's up, Jasper?" I queried him dutifully.
"Nothing," he answered shyly.
I waited a few precocious heartbeats for him to do as I knew he wouuld--that is, to propose a date for the two of us, but he did not ask, and I heard the vocalizations of my friends calling me to go away which, reluctantly, I found myself forced to do.
