A/N: For hansprinsessa, sorry it's so short but I just couldn't get it to continue in a way I was happy with (and, to be honest, I rather liked the mental image at the end) :P This is based on the AU premise that Nora and Pam have met before and hated each other, which is why they haven't seen each other for a while and Pam doesn't know Nora is (or, rather, was) in the Authority. There may also be a couple of Peter Pan references :P Anyways, hope you like! :)
Disclaimer: I own nothing.
Faith, Trust & Pixie Dust
"Feet apart, arms loose," Eric instructed, watching closely as Pam mimicked his stance. "Good," he said approvingly, "now look up and-"
"Are you sure about this?" Pam interrupted uncertainly.
"You'll be fine," Eric assured her.
"All it takes it faith, trust and pixie dust," Nora muttered from a nearby park bench, absently flipping through a magazine.
The other two vampires shot her identical dark looks.
"Does she have to be here?" Pam asked, still glaring in Nora's direction.
"Where else do you suggest I go?" Nora asked, leaning back in her seat to regard her with narrowed eyes.
Pam's eyes narrowed in return and she took a threatening step towards her, "I can think of a few-"
"Ladies," Eric interrupted, "please. Pam just ignore her," he said gently, taking her hand and pulling her back towards him. "And Nora, be nicer to your niece," he added over his shoulder.
"She is not my niece," Nora objected.
"She is not my aunt," Pam declared at the same time.
Eric closed his eyes briefly, "Fine," he said after a moment, "but you are family so play nice."
The two women glowered at him but said nothing, Eric chose to ignore them and turned his attention back to Pam's flying lesson.
"Right, so, feet apart," he reminded her.
Pam rolled her eyes, "I know," she told him, "feet apart, arms loose, what now?"
"Just think happy thoughts," Nora said acidly.
"Pam…" Eric began in a warning tone, but before he could finish Pam had launched herself at Nora and the two were embroiled in fierce hand-to-hand combat.
Eric pinched the bridge of his nose, he should have known it would only end in disaster.
"All right, enough," he commanded after a moment, pulling the pair apart.
"She started it," Pam pouted.
"I did not!" Nora protested.
"Did too!"
"Did not!"
"Did too!"
Eric rolled his eyes as the pair started to fight again, this time he intervened by slinging his progeny over his shoulder.
"I don't care who started it, I'm finishing it," he told them, striding away with Pam still over his shoulder. With his back turned he missed Nora stick her tongue out and Pam make cutting motions across her throat in return.
If he had seen the brief exchange it would only have served to cement his decision to keep them apart, or under close supervision, in future.
