Tell Me This Emotion
An Ai and Ren Fan Fic
She sat in the cool water the sky at eternal twilight. She thought of the man sitting in the small house may be watching her. Feeling strangely sad and about to cry she walked slowly to the house. She saw the blue straw doll on the floor. She lay down on the floor her hair spread out around her she didn't expect the man to change to his human form but, it was comforting to have him with her. She thought that she must of fallen asleep because a while later she opened her ruby eyes and noticed that she was lying on her back and there was a white blanket around her like a cocoon.
She sat up slowly and noticed for the first time a black haired man sitting on the floor watching her with a curious look in his one exposed eye and concern for her on his face. "Miss Ai," he said, "you fell asleep so I found a blanket. Um I hope that's OK?" He moved a bit closer to the young miss who he thought looked sad. She breathed in a tiny breath and a little whimper escaped her lips. Ren had an almost overwhelming feeling to pull her into a embrace but he couldn't. Not now, not yet.
Suddenly Ai turned around very fast pulling herself against Ren's chest, his heart. "I'm sorry Ichimoku Ren. I just needed to hear a heart - a strong beating heart," she said.
"Oh, miss Ai its fine. Don't worry, I understand," Ren said.
"Ren can I tell you something?" asked Ai.
"Of course little miss," said Ren.
"I feel very sad or something like that. And my eyes are sore all the time. I don't want to go to Hell for showing emotion," she cried. "I' m afraid to go again, to that dark place." She shuddered in his arms.
"Shooo little miss, it's OK, don't cry." He rubbed her back, trying to calm miss Ai down. Ai looked up at him her gaze becoming suddenly very intense and said, "I don't want to be Jigoku Shoujo anymore, Ren. I can't be anymore."
Ren looked into Ai 's ruby eyes and said, "I know mistress, I know." And then Ren leaned his head down and kissed Ai to let her know she wasn't alone even if she was Jigoku Shoujo for all eternity. After Ren pulled away, Ai looked up at him and said, "Thank you, Ren. I love you Ichimoku Ren."
Ren answered slowly and truly, "I love you too my little miss Ai." And so she continued to be Jigoku Shoujo but with someone by her side - her savior by her for all eternity.
And in truth at the end of that day Ai, thought Ren had seen her emotion and healed her a small bit. Maybe he had healed her heart and her emotions.
