Prologue

"Megaman, what happened to the P.E.T.?" asked young Hiro. The young man in blue armor turned around and looks down at Hiro.

"After your grandfather, Professor Lan Hikari, died, the master P.E.T. system was infected with a virus, spreading to P.E.T.s worldwide. The virus damaged the systems severely, causing many net navis to evacuate from their P.E.T.s Many net navis, like Protoman, fought bravely against the virus, but were deleted. P.E.T.s were discontinued and all navis reside in the real world, thanks to the advancement in technology. But then again, you should know that. You helped with some of these technological advances." Megaman explained.

"Oh. I see… I wish the P.E.T. was still around today." Hiro said.

"Don't worry. I'm sure scientists will think of something better than the P.E.T. By the way, your mom wants you to run some errands for her. Here's the list." Megaman hands Hiro a piece of paper with a list of things to buy on it.

"Okay. See you later, Megaman!" The young boy said as he walked out of the house.

Twelve-year-old Hiro Hikari, the grandson of the famous Net Scientists, Lan Hikari and Chaud Blaze, was a kind-hearted young boy who looked like a mixture of both his grandfathers. He has spiky hair, like Lan, but his hair was white with strands of black hair hanging, like Chaud. He typically wore a red headband with the emblems of both Megaman and Protoman on it.

It's the year 23X and a lot has changed over the past 2X years. P.E.T.s were discontinued due to a powerful virus that infected the master system and made it impossible to use them. Now, NetNavis reside in the real world thanks to astral simulators that are in every house, which allow Navis to move around in the real world and touch things in the house.

"Looks like mom's cooking something big tonight." Hiro said, examining the groceries he just bought. "I wonder if there're guests coming over today."

There was a loud crash around the corner and Hiro dropped the groceries in shock. He raced to the corner and took a look at the damage. Across the street, in front of his favorite park, a strangely dressed man stood on top of a destroyed car. The man turned to look at Hiro, who was the only other person around, and grinned. He started walking towards the twelve-year-old. "Hey there, kid. What's up?" He raised his hand and aimed his fist at Hiro. Suddenly, his arm changed into a cannon and started charging up. "Don't worry. It'll all be over in a second."

Just as the cannon was about to fire, a gold beam of light shone down in front of Hiro, intercepting the blast. The light began to expand and slowly engulf Hiro. "Are you okay?" A voice asked. Hiro, having shut his eyes, waiting for the blast to kill him, slowly opened his eyes and look at the source of the voice.

"Megaman?" Hiro asked, confused. Before him stood an almost exact replica of Megaman himself. The figure, however, was slightly taller, and was decked out in gold armor, had brown hair, and a star shaped emblem on his forehead and chest.

"Who is this 'Megaman' you speak of? My name is Startren and I'm your destined Solarian." The strange figure replied, extending his hand.

Hiro took the hand and shook it. "Nice to meet you, Startren. I'm Hiro. What's a Solarian?"

"I'll explain that later. Right now, there's not much time until the time stasis shatters. Hiro, just say 'Solarmerge Alpha' and we will merge together like that man and his Solarian." Startren replied.

"O-okay…" Hiro stuttered before clearing his throat. "Solarmerge Alpha!"
