I don't know how I can stand

Being here without you.

You have always been my advocate,

Sharing with me in our glory

Crying with me in our pain.

We are inseparable elements

Like the sunshine and the rain.

How am I to cope with

Being without you?

You were the stronger one;

I looked up to you.

You smiled whenever I laughed

And made my worries fly free.

Now I have to laugh alone,

For you're no longer with me.

How many times I cross the path

We used to take.

Half the time I expect to see

You running up to me.

We depend upon each other

In order to survive.

But now that you're gone,

I remain here, barely alive.

But I know we'll find each other

In the times that lie ahead.

One sisterhood and friendship

That will never, ever end.
