Yumichika always told Ikkaku that red didn't go with blue. Ikkaku, not wanting to have Yumichika pestering him about it, shaved off his blue hair a few weeks before he met Zaraki. Yumichika approved of his decision, and when he could, he went with Ikkaku on the regular trip to the salon. They upheld the tradition, even after Ikkaku became third-seat, and achieved Bankai. Ikkaku eventually forgot what it was like to have hair, and didn't hesitate like he used to when entering the salon.
Yachiru would always ask why Ikkaku shaved his hair off. Ikkaku always responded with a simple 'because'.
Grimmjow had always been unusually gifted with the Naginata(1). When he had discovered this, he had been almost overjoyed, as mastering only one weapon was painfully limiting to him. He told his most trusted fraccion, Ilforte, of his newfound skill. Szayel heard of this through the parasites he had planted in Ilforte, and told Nnoitra, who told Tesla. So, four people out of all the Arrancar in Las Noches, and for that matter, Hueco Mundo (Or so they thought) knew of Grimmjow's unusual skill.
Currently, Grimmjow assumed he was the only one who knew of his skill. In reality, five people knew. Only, one of the five people, an Arrancar by the name of Neliel Tu Odershvank or Nel Tu, knew, but not openly as, a great portion of her memory was dormant. Grimmjow had almost completely forgotten about Nel. He had pushed all memories of her to the back of his mind in a attempt to forget about what Nnoitra and Szayel had done to her(2&3).
No one thought the two, Ikkaku Madarame and Grimmjow Jaggerjaques, could be related in such a way. In fact, the only one who had seen both, Ichigo Kurosaki, hadn't even acknowledged a vague similarity between the two. Oh how wrong they were.
(1) Ikkaku's Shikai is a Naginata with three parts
(2) Grimmjow is the oldest artificial Arrancar, was an Arrancar when this happened. All the 'natural' Arrancar's are Privaron's or dead
(3) Nnoitra and Szayel split her head open and turned her into a child
A.N. Hi guys! I'm thinking of making this a small , I have no idea where this idea sprung from. Probably the same part of the brain that makes dreams. I have weird dreams. In my most recent one, I was part of a group of super heros and I had super speed (But I could only use it for one second and I was extremley tired afterwards), X-ray vision and magical healing. In another dream, in one part I was a cartoon mouse being chased by a cartoon blue elephant with a gun in a feild of golden cartoon wheat. Review please and give me your thoughts.
