Chapter 1
Raindrop tears flowed down my cheeks as I left the familiar house that I had grown up in. I looked over to my evergreen tree, where I had buried my dog so long ago. I took in all the memories of my childhood. Ever since I found my birth certificate, things have been somehow weird. To solve everything, I am headed to my father's house in London, England. This would be a new journey to begin. My motorcycle started up; I lifted my head; and said good bye to my childhood once more.
I rode down some familiar streets until I came upon the airport. In about thirty minutes I would be gone from Washington and heading to the new sites of England. My heart pounded thinking about my choice. My father, would he want me? I parked in the stone parking spot, looking at the newly fallen snow. I sighed.
Later
The plane started up. My head kept forward, for this was a new beginning and I must stay positive. It was about a two day trip out and once I reach London I would take a bus. A hotel would be nice to stay until I could find my father. I looked out the window watching as we started getting higher and higher above ground. My stomach did a flip flop. I closed my eyes, trying to fall into a deep sleep.
I woke up from my sleep to see that we were landing. Earlier in the night before we were served dinner. I however was feeling sick so didn't eat anything. The flight attendant came on speaker trying to get our attention. "Ladies and gentleman. We are about to land. Could you fasten your seat-belts?" I grabbed the leather seat-belt and tightened it to me. As the plane started to land I started to feel better. "Welcome to London, England." She said.
The next thing I knew was that I boarded a bus and was headed further into town. I listened to the unfamiliar sounds, trying to get used to it. The people here had accents that made my head dizzy, espicially since I was new here. Once my bus had stopped I got off and took in the new sites. Tall cobblestone buildings surrounded me. This wasn't the old downtown Forks ,Washington I knew. This was so fancy, I guess you would say.
Oh, how I longed to be at the house I knew.
