He saw her everywhere- Diagon Alley, shopping with her family, Platform 9 and ¾, picking up her children, and most of all, in his nightmares. He could still hear her screams, her desperate cries for help. The cries filled with pain and horror.

There was nothing he wanted, no, longed for, more in the world than to run up to her. He would fall on his knees and apologize, and beg her to forgive him for just standing by and watching her pain and agony.

But he couldn't do that. He wasn't a Gryffindor. He didn't posses the kind of courage required to do such a thing. He didn't have that brand of bravery. All he could do was watch her, and hope that she knew how sorry he was.
