Jadeclan and Caveclan live in fear of Snowclan not only because of their bloodthirsty nature, but their powers. How did they get them? Well, shut up and I'll tell you.

Snow opened her eyes to find herself in a forest. The trees were dead and weeds grew all over. She looked up at the sky. No stars. No moon. Where am I?

"You're in the Dark Forest." She immediately spun and slashed...air? She blinked. Oh, just great. Now I'm hearing things.

"What you heard wasn't your imagination." She turned around again to see a large, dark brown tabby tom with and eerie ice blue eyes. He purred in amusement.

"Who are you? Why am I here?" Snow hissed angrily.

"My name is Hawkfrost. You are here because I and three others would like to make a deal with you."

"And this deal is?" Her dark brown eyes suddenly showed interest.

"We know that you seek to rule the lake, and believe that we may help."

"First, answer me this: Who's we?" three cats stepped out of the darkness. One looked much like Hawkfrost. Another dark tabby tom stepped out. His tail was bent in the middle. The third cat, a she-cat, had ginger and white fur. She noticed something, though. All three cats had amber eyes.

"Hello. My name is Tigerstar." The first introduced himself.

"The name's Mapleshade." Spat the she-cat.

"It's a pleasure to meet you. Call me Brokenstar." The one in the middle greeted Snow. Hawkfrost stepped back, and the she-cat stepped forward.

"Find others that share your wish." she meowed calmly. "Trust us, they will help you."

"How can you be so sure?" Snow inquired.

"Once they see the reward we give them, they will be begging to join you." Mapleshade continued.

"And that reward is?"

"We will give them powers. Each will be unique, but together they will be the ultimate fighting team."

"But...there's a catch." Brokenstar piped up. "You will no longer be able to see." Snow's eyes widened.

"You expect me to go blind?"

"Mapleshade, you left something out." Tigerstar reminded her.

"Oh, that's right. We will grant you nine lives." Snow now appeared deep in thought, as if she couldn't decide what to choose.

"Well?" Hawkfrost demanded.

"...I'll do it." She said quietly.

"Perfect." The forest around her faded, as well as the cats. First was the she-cat, who nodded to Snow quietly.

"Good luck." Mapleshade said to Snow before disappearing.

"When you sleep, we will tutor you. You may see then. But when you wake, you will become blind." Brokenstar informed her before he, too, disappeared.

"You will not regret your choice,my friend." Tigerstar meowed before disappearing like the rest.

"From now on, your name will be Snowstar, as a symbol of your leadership." Hawkfrost finished. The last thing Snowstar saw was a pair of eerie blue eyes, which glinted evilly.
