I've got total Degrassi inspiration, thanks to Tiff! OK so this is set in season 5 when they got back together. It really pissed me off that the show never mentioned Manny's abortion after AWH, I felt it was such an important topic and though it was dealt with well in the episode, there appeared to be no change in Manny's personality, like her dealing with it. Or Craig for that matter. So this is me trying to find the words they never said. Hope you guys like it.

Peaceful.

That was the word that sprung to Manny's mind as she silently stood at the doorway of Joey's basement, watching Craig strum his guitar. He had a small smile playing at his lips as he began to sing.

'I never saw your face. Your beauty or your grace, but it doesn't mean I don't miss you... because I do."

He noticed his girlfriend walk in and abruptly stopped playing, the sound of the silence filling the room as he made no attempt to talk.

She stepped into the room, feeling like the past was suffocating her. She had no idea Craig had written a song about their unborn child, it scared her a little. This was a side to him that she wasn't expecting.

"It's been two years today" He told her as if reading her mind as he gently placed the guitar on the sofa next to him.

Manny nodded silently, and let herself be wrapped up in him: when she was in Craig's arms she felt protected, and she liked it.

"I know, Craig. I still think about it" She said, leaning back and feeling the beat of his heart, steady and strong.

"I don't blame you." He told her simply, intwining his hands with hers, the most simple gesture telling her everything she needed to hear.

It was as if those words unlocked something inside of her: something she had kept so guarded, so safe that she never let herself think of it. Before she knew what was happening, she felt tears well in her eyes.

"But I want you to blame me! I want you to hate me for what I did, I destroyed something that was so important to us... to you. We were going to be a family" She brushed the tears away, hating that she was so vulnerable. If there was one thing about Manny Santos, it was that she was fearless. Right now, she was so scared she could barely breathe.

"I did, at first. But over time I understood. We weren't ready, Manny. We were just kids, we barely even knew how to look after ourselves." He explained, standing up and taking her in his arms again.

She nodded, knowing that what he said was true, besides,

"Maybe one day we can be a family. Properly this time" She said, holding her breath.

"I can't wait" He said, kissing her gently on the lips.
