I'm Driving

E/O Challenge: end with the phrase, "I'm driving." Dean is just too angry to argue with his brother. Sam would love to rip his head off.

E/O Challenge: End the drabble with "I'm driving."

Warnings/etc: None

The setup: This drabble is very specific. It happens right in the beginning of the episode, When the Levee Breaks, which is one of my very favorites. In this little moment in time, Dean has just found out that Sam has been drinking demon blood again, and he is beyond disappointment and disgust. They are in the Impala. Enjoy!

I'm Driving

The rumbling purr of the Impala filled the silence between the two brothers. Finally, Sam exploded.

"Say something, Dean, I know you want to!"

"I don't want to talk. I'm driving."

"Yeah, you are always driving, aren't you? Always the one in charge! Can't you understand that I could defeat Lillith!" Vehment spittle flew off of Sam's lips and landed on the Impala's dashboard. Dean eyed it warily, and then let his eyes fall back onto the dark road ahead.

"I'm driving," Dean repeated, his voice heavy.

Sam fumed, falling silent, but thinking, not this time. This time, I'm driving.
