The Average Day Of Manimon
It was a rare day off for Joey, but even then, he got up at the crack of dawn...wait...did he even go to bed?
I go to bed and he's in the kitchen, cleaning. I wake up in the morning and I find him in the kitchen...cleaning...
It's time like this when I begin to question if he is even human or if I am in a waking nightmare because my tamer has this inhuman thirst for cleaning.
I'm watching him at the doorway, his smiling face sending shivers down my spine.
It's the type of smile that makes you think he has a plan to take over the world and has already thought of someone to pass the blame on too.
But even though this human creeps me out from time to time, I never forget that he is my best friend and I find myself smiling at him as I watch him clean even the varnish off of the dining table.
Before I knew it, I am walking into the living room. In my opinion? Bad mistake.
By the window is a small fish bowl housing a small goldfish...named Chips...what?
Blocking my path is a bald cat...fish. No, seriously. The cat's name is fish. Many times I have questioned the reasoning for their names but Joey always says the same thing "I thought it would be funny".
I don't buy that for a second and I think to myself 'Don't say things like that with that smile on your face'.
Anyway, I must say, I do not like the cat and fish very much. I swear they have it in for me.
Chips always gives me the most creepiest of stares and Fish always seems to look at me hungrily.
I'm standing smack bang in the middle of them and my heart begins to pound.
At the corner of my eye, the hairless cat begins to walk towards me. It's eyes boring into me. I begin to back away but because I had my eyes fixed onto the cat's movement, I fail to see the footstool behind me and I trip over it, falling back where I cry out in anguish.
The next thing I hear is Joey chuckling as the blasted cat has made it's bed on my belly. It's claws digging into me. I don't know why but I find myself gazing up at the fish bowl...hang on...did that fish just grin at me? No way. I must be seeing things. I'm getting really scared at this time and I am yelling at Joey to get the cat off of me.
He chuckles again and tells me to calm down as I feel the weight of the cat disappear and I scramble up onto my feet as fast as I could and I back out of the living room.
I'm telling you guys now...i seriously don't like that cat and fish. For a start, the fish is plotting my death. I can tell by the way it looks at me with those beady wide eyes...beady wide eyes? Wow, my thoughts have such bad grammar.
What was I saying again...? Oh yes. And that cat...is it even a cat? I don't think it comes from the human world. It has no fur. Joey told me it is known as a Sphinx or a Canadian Hairless...what ever. It doesn't look nice...bet it doesn't taste good either...not that I ever thought about eating it...what do you think I look like? Raremon? -shudders-
Phew -yawns- all that excitement has left me exhausted. I think it's time I go for a nap... -enters his bedroom and clambers onto his bed, and cuddling up to a stuffed toy carrot- wonder what's for dinner tonight -drifts off to sleep-
"Manimon?" calls Joey, entering the bedroom. Joey spots Manimon fast asleep, clinging to his toy carrot protectively. He walks over and pulls the cover over the silver white rabbit and strokes his cheek. "pleasant dreams my little guy" Joey gets up and exits the room, letting Manimon sleep.
