An Assassins Tale
Chapter 1: The Run In
The male walked on a path, where it lead was unknown. He wore a black cloak over his chain mail armour. His snow white hair hid his murky red eyes. A bow, made of the finest wood in the county, lay across his back. A sword, made a mixture of iron and steel is sheathed on his side. His name is Angelo DeVera.
Angelo could easily be spotted in public places, only if he wanted to get caught that is. He hated the guards, they were pitiful and barely trained. Angelo had undergone so much the guards were nothing but dummies. He does not kill for the thrill, he kills for justice, unless he gets paid of course. Throughout his training he has learned many skills, stamina, agility, strength, defense, and even how to craft his own arrows. There was one thing he never understood, magick. But, little does Angelo know, on this path to the unknown he will come upon something far more magnificent than a witch or warlock, he will come upon a goddess.
The female, Samantha Falloth, had dark brown hair, the color matching that of an oak tree. Her eyes as blue as the ocean as the sun rises. Sam's posture was stuck up just like that of a tulip. Samantha Falloth is the goddess of the forest.
Angelo began mumbling to himself, "Why? Where am I even going?" he growled lowly and let out a sigh.
He didn't look up, he could sense there was no one else on the path, but he couldn't sense the goddess that was a few feet in front of him. They bumped into each other and Sam fell on her back-side then let out a yelp. Quickly by instinct Angelo unsheathed his sword and had it to the female's neck in seconds.
"Who are you?" he demanded, "Are you a witch? Is that why I couldn't sense you?"
She stared at the blade that is at her neck, "What's it made out of?" She asked, not caring that she could be killed.
"What? Don't change the subject you witch! I won't fall for your tricks!"
"I'm not a witch..." she said calmly "I'm Samantha Falloth."
"I don't care what your name is-" he swore his heart skipped a beat, "No... You're a liar!"
She looked up at him, "Look at me and call me a liar..."
He hesitantly looked up and ended staring into her eyes for what seemed like ages, "You...You're the goddess of the forest!"
