A/N: This is an alternate ending to Episode 7.03 - And How Does That Make You Kill?
Disclaimer: I own nothing. Well... I'd love to own Delko... but I don't... so I earn nothing from writing this other than my own entertainment and hopefully yours.
It would be nice if it was Calleigh The words she had seen written in the doctor's notes in Eric's file made her warm inside.
Calleigh knew… she had known how Eric felt, they'd talked about it after her kidnapping and he told her that he didn't know what he would have done if anything had happened to her. But they had decided that they needed to keep things low key and that the timing wasn't quite right for them.
But now…
She sighed and leaned back in her chair, nudging her shoes off with one toe before switching to nudge the other one off as she took a long drink of her sweet tea.
Somehow truly knowing that a guy… a guy you had a serious like with. A like that would almost border on love if you truly let yourself go for it. Calleigh sighed again. Knowing that Eric Delko had actually considered… let himself think about a future with her was something truly special.
She closed her eyes for a moment and let a soft smile play on her lips.
She'd had a flash before… when she had tried on a wedding veil at a crime scene and had looked at him the year before. A vision of being dressed in white and marrying Eric.
But she had dismissed it as just getting into character.
But now…
Knowing what he thought… what he had allowed himself to envision.
Calleigh almost gasped when a little girl showed up behind her eyelids. A little girl… the color of coffee with a lot of cream. With green eyes that sparkled with an inner joy and a twinkle of mischief. Long dark lashes like her daddy and light brown hair that curled around her shoulders.
"Mari…" Calleigh's eyes popped open when she whispered the name.
"Oh…" She said softly, taking a long draught of her sweet tea again.
But that would be a lovely name for their daughter. Marisol after his sister. Mari… Calleigh smiled.
Marisol Grace Delko.
Somehow… she didn't think Eric would mind one bit.
She finished her tea while she watched the sun set from her spot in her chair and finally went into the kitchen to try and put together something for her dinner as she pondered the things that she had read that day.
Work with Eric would never be the same again, she was almost certain.
