Hermione was pacing the room nervously. She had traveled the muggle way to Australia because she needed the extra time to give her the strength to face her parents after she had obviated. Ron had offered to go with her, oh she loved how he cared about her, but she knew that this was something she needed to do by herself. When she got to the airport she quickly went to the bathroom to apparate to where she knew her parents had moved. She was currently in her parents living room waiting for them to come home, fearing their reactions to her when they learned what she had done. She was thrown out of her inner turmoil as she heard a car door slam outside and her heart skipped a beat. There was a jungling of keys as the door unlocked and heard her mother say "Aren't you glad we never had kids so we're not tied down like Matilda next door-" Hermione's heart shattered and breathing stopped for a moment, she then gathered herself up and apparated away just as the door began to open. Knowing she wouldn't be able to handle this by herself. Ron started at her sudden appearance before taking in her anguished expression and without asking pulled her into a hug as she cried into his shoulder. She didn't stop crying until she had fallen asleep.
