The Fallen One
All is over - here I'm standing
Lost my soul that was depending
On another - darker - ending
Of this war I had to fight
Dusk is rising, sun is sinking
Over me the stars are blinking
And I'm standing still and thinking
That I feel all dark inside
Everybody thinks I'm evil
Always wrong and never right
But I'll always be a knight.
Nightmares what my dreams were turning
All into - inside I'm burning
But at last I started learning
Learning from the darker side
Honour is my strongest feeling
I'm still proud, I'm still concealing
All the thoughts my heart's revealing
From my friends that nearly died
For my vanity, my honour
For my reaching for the ceiling
For my dream of being knight.
All the time I kept on chasing
Searching, fighting and erasing
Power made me feel amazing
With destruction as my guide
Even angels fall when trying
Vainly catching stars while flying
But instead of quietly dying
Sell their souls to death and night
Sell their souls for just surviving
Maybe it's the price for trying
Deep inside to be a knight.
All in all I'm rather blinded
Still confused and broken minded
But I'm sure one day I'll find it
Find my hope and find my light
I'm still vain and I'm still evil
Same old mix of angel-devil
Searching for a higher level
But perhaps one day I might
Find the only thing I'm missing
Learn to love from all inside
And forever be a knight.
