Prologue:
Fifteen year old Devinity Blake, lives in California with her parents. Being physically and emotionally abused everyday of her life, she uses makeup to hide the bruises. After about a month, she discontinues the makeup and hopes somebody will notice. Nobody knows what she goes through. Pretty soon, she confides in her history teacher, whom she trusts with her life. When absolutely nothing happens, one night, she got down on her knees and prayed. She prayed very hard and with a lot of emotion. She asked God to get her out of that home and somewhere else. She wanted it fast! Finally, Child Protective Services was called and Devinity was taken away and put into a foster home. In that foster home she met a girl, just like her, and they immediately befriended each other. Soon, a man comes into the home wanting to adopt. Devinity is adopted out to this man. But what happens when that man, is her own teacher?
