Loki woke up early that morning and found Jemma still sound asleep. She was snuggled close to him, her head rested on his arm and one of her hand is on his chest. He mused at the sight he woke up with, he never thought he would ever see someone, especially a human, would sleep so peaceful in his arms. He watched her breathing and noticed her eyelids flutter; she must be dreaming, he thought. Is she dreaming about me? Just the thought of it made a curve on his lips. It's early in the morning and she already made him smile without even doing anything. Being with her is the happiest he has ever been, he wished it would never change.
He reached her face with his free hand and caressed her cheek to feel her soft skin against his, just to check he wasn't dreaming. Then casually played with her hair softly, twirling her curls between his fingers. She stirred and woke up. She smiled at him and greeted him, "Good morning." He looked into her hazel eyes, oh he'd love to always wake up like this, then leaned closer to her and whispered "I can destroy worlds, take over kingdoms, force millions of people under my rule; but you my dear, are my one and only weakness." After hearing that, Jemma sat up and slapped Loki's face. "What was that all about?" He asked astounded by what she did all of a sudden. "Don't think about world domination early in the morning or at all!" She scolded. "That is what you got from what I sa-" He was cut off when Jemma leaned in close and caught his lips. He cupped her face with his hand and kissed her back softly. To his dismay, she broke off the kiss first. That was short lived, he thought, and he gave her a questioning look, to which he heard her say, "I thought that was rather quite sweet..." He saw her blush, it made her look even more beautiful to his eyes. "Now, that's more like it." He chuckled and she rolled her eyes in response. Then, he went on top of her and kissed her passionately. He just wished they would last like this for eternity, but deep inside he knew they wouldn't because she is only mortal. She wouldn't live as long as he would, that's why he'll treasure every moment with her while they're still together. Fin.
