Prolouge
Two figures watched as the space pod carrying their baby girl flew off into space towards some distant planet. The woman stood sobbing into her husband's shoulder. She knew that it had to be done, for her daughter's sake. She could not let freeza take over her Kagome's life like he did to her 10-year-old son, Vegeta. Just then, Freeza showed up in front of them. The King of the Saiyans moved in front of his wife, blocking her from view.
"Where is she?" Freeza sneered.
"You will never get Kagome," the king snarled back, "She is now out of your reach Freeza."
"You will pay for this!" screamed Freeza, "I told you, that I would not harm her as long as I got your children. Now you will pay."
With that, Freeza disappeared, and reappeared behind his wife. Then he sent a beam of energy straight through her heart. When the king turned back around, Freeza addressed him again, "now, if you ever disobey me again, I will kill you, destroy your planet, and then take your son with me, and make his life very unpleasant." Then Freeza disappeared again, leaving the king mourning over the body of his wife.
3 months later, Vegeta watched as Freeza killed his father, and then proceeded to destroy his home planet. While all this was happening, Vegeta was thinking, 'where are you baby sister? I just know that you are alive. I promise, I will find you someday.'
On Earth
Midori Higurashi was out in the garden picking herbs, when she heard a loud CRASH! Midori went to investigate, and was shocked at what she saw. In a huge crater in a clearing, was a small, round, white pod. Midori stepped up to it, and it opened. She looked inside, and gasped. Inside was a beautiful baby girl. She had black curly hair, and stunning blue eyes. The little girl then gave an adorable smile when she saw Midori. Midori instantly fell in love with the little girl. That was when she noticed the little girl's monkey tail and the hologram disk with her. There was also a small jewelry box in the pod with her. Midori picked up the disk, and pressed the button near the center. The image of a man and a woman holding each other appeared. The woman was absolutely gorgeous, and the man had a regal look to him. Then the man started talking.
"To whoever finds our little girl, please take care of her. Her name is Kagome, and she is princess of the Saiyans. Please tell her of her heritage when she is old enough to understand. Please tell her that we love her very much, and that we had to let her go. We could no allow Freeza to take control of her life like he did to her brother, Vegeta. In the box is a necklace with our royal crest on it. Please give it to her. When she is old enough, please show her this. Tell her we love her, and please take care of our precious Kagome. And for your safety, you need to cut off her tail before the full moon."
The two disappeared, and Midori looked at the little princess. Then she picked up the little girl, and brought her back to the shrine. She explained to her husband and father-in-law what had happened, and who the little girl was. Midori's husband quickly fell in love with the little girl also, and they adopted her.
