Hi! I got this idea while listening to Lullaby by Nickleback. I do not own Underworld or any of it's characters :(.

Nickleback Lullaby
Eve sat on her bed. She thought of all that has happened in the last 24 hours. She escaped from the lab, found her mother, was given to the Lycans, almost got all her blood drained, and killed the man that held her family captive. To say that she was scared was an understatement. She knew nothing of the world outside the lab. They would not even let her near a window. Her mother was not what she expected. She had no idea where her father was. She felt alone. She walked to the bathroom. Silent tears ran down her cheaks.
Selene was walking through the halls deep in thought. She had no idea what to do. She woke up to find out that she had been held captive for 12 years. Now she had a 11 year old daughter and she had no idea how to raise her. She needed Michael. She walked past the bathroom and cought scent of something familliar. Blood. Her daughter's blood. Motherly instincts she didn't know she had kicked in. She broke open the door and walked into the room. What she saw suprised her. Her daughter. Her little girl was laying unconcious in a pool of blood with blood still pooring from her wrists. She rushed to her side.
"No! Eve!"
She felt for a pulse and sighed with relief. It was there, but faintly. She picker her up in her arms and ran to the hospital wing. She prayed she would get there in time.
Eve woke up in a different room. It took her a while to recognize the room as the hospital wing. She looked around an saw her mother sitting in a chair with her head in her hands.
"Mom?" Eve asked.
Selene looked up. Her eyes bloodshot, tears running down her cheaks. Nether said anything. They sat ther looking at eachother. Then Selene spoke.
"Why?"
Eve answered "I don't know. I guess I was scared. I am so sorry."
Eve looked down, unable to look her mother in the eye. Selene got up and sat at her daughters side. She took her hand.
"No. It should be me that is sorry. You are just a child. I should have thought of how this would affect you. I should have known you would be scared. Can you find it in your heart to forgive me?"
"There is nothing to forgive."
Selene gave a small smile. She looked at her child. She looked so much like herself. She just noticed that now. All Selene had saw before was Eve's eyes. Michael's eyes.
"What's going to happen now?" Eve asked.
"We are going to find your father, then we are going to leave for Amarica. That's what your father and I had planed to do before we got cought." Selene told her.
Eve nodded. They were quiet for a while. Eve wanted to ask her mother something, something she had wanted to ask her for a long time.
"Do you love me?" she asked in a whisper.
Selene was supprised by the question. She had no idea what to say. She was not good with emotions. She gave another small smile as she figured out the answer. She looked at her.
"Yes. I know I may not show it, but I do. I love you Eve."
Eve wraped her arms around her mother. Selene smiled and returned the hug.
"I love you too Mom."
Eve no longer felt alone.
