This is just something that I wrote a long while ago, when we had snow. The characters are both mine.

"Ti, do you, by any chance, have a history of insanity in your family?"

Toa Tiate raised an eyebrow at his boyfriend, "Not that I know of. Why do you ask?"

"I believe that this would make most rethink that." Tyrune commented dryly.

Tiate rolled his eyes, "Oh, come on 'Rune, the Ko-matoran do this all the time, and they're some of the most sane beings I know."

Tyrune glared distastefully down the snowy slope. The slope that Tiate was currently trying to force him down on a plank of wood. He wanted him to slide down the hill. On a piece of wood. With no steering mechanisms what so ever. It was absolutely mental.

"You must not know very many sane beings then." Tyrune retorted, "Because this is completely insane."

Tiate rolled his eyes and, before Tyrune could protest anymore, grasped his waist and pulled him onto the plank. With the protesting Xian sat snuggly on his lap Tiate pushed off, whooping as the plank started down the hill. Tyrune yelped slightly and grabbed at Tiate's arms around his waist.

"Ti!"

The toa responded to his indignant cry by laughing and tightening his grip on Tyrune's waist.

The ride didn't last very long- the only real slope on Xia was the Mountain, and not even Tiate was crazy enough to try sledding on that. Just as they were nearing the bottom of the slope Tiate somehow twisted the board so that they plowed straight into a snow bank. Tyrune yelped as he plunged face first of the board and into the snow. Tiate, laughing helplessly, collapsed next to him. Tyrune scowled at the toa- he had snow down his coat, and it was cold, damn it- before leaping on top of him and dumping a handful of snow in his face. Tiate squeaked slightly and bolted upright, scrubbing at his face. Tyrune hid his laughter behind a gloved hand. Tiate grinned at him, showing teeth.

"Oh, it is on!"

The toa scooped up a handful of snow and lobbed it at Tyrune, cackling madly as it exploded on his face. Tyrune shook his head to get snow off before packing together a snowball and flinging it at Tiate. He eeped and held the board up in front of his face for the snow to splatter harmlessly against.

"Well that was fun." Tiate smiled, planting a kiss on Tyrune's lips.

The Xian grinned back at him, "I still think you're insane."
