Beach Snooze
Summary: Sitting on the beach at Master Roshi's place, Yamcha and Goku find the sounds of the waves relaxing and able to spend time together while the others are inside watching the TV and enjoying the comfortable peace of no upcoming danger.

Sitting on the beach taking in the salt air and sound of waves rolling close to the shore, Yamcha heaves a soft sigh feeling the tension in his shoulders drift off. Besides him leaning back only wearing swim trunks, Goku hums in contentment and closes his eyes. Soft spiky raven locks shift in the cool breeze making the shorter spike hair man to smirk gazing down at the younger man.
"Something up, Yamcha?" the drowsy tone in Goku's voice sends shivers down Yamcha's spine at the sound and heart races.
"No just thinking only," Yamcha assures.
"Hm," Goku hums opening his eyes revealing onyx seem to have a happy gleam to them. "It's rather nice to relax for a while."
"True. How are things going between you and Chichi?" Yamcha ask remembering some minor rumors of a divorce or separation between them according to someone.
"Alright now that we filed for that one thing…" Goku pauses trying to remember the thing before sighing almost sadly while a grimace smile appears, "the divorce papers. With me coming back after being dead for seven years it did damage our marriage to a point. I still love her but it's not the same. She even told me the same thing."
"So things are okay than despite the divorce?" Yamcha ask staring in surprise while glancing at the house for a moment hearing laughter of everyone with the expectation of Vegeta at some show or story being talk about.
"Yup," Goku chirps grinning at Yamcha. "It was the best thing. I want her happy. We still are good friends."
"Ah," Yamcha murmurs his fingers moving discreetly towards Goku.
Goku looks at the hand not blind to the fact of Yamcha's feelings for him. In fact Chichi encourage him to go for Yamcha before he gives up with her blessing as he did with her the day she should find someone that loves her dearly. He moves his hands to meet Yamcha and let their fingers slowly entwine before closing his eyes again.
Yamcha startle by the action glance at Goku. His cheeks flush lightly before grinning softly. He leans back and stares up at the clouds. The feeling of Goku's hand against his leaves a wonderful and exciting feeling bubbling in his chest.
The two soon drift into a light sleep while the sounds of their friends talking and the waves roll in and out. The cool breeze while the sun heating their skin is warm and comfortable. Each could agree that it's a peaceful and comfortable for a good long while. Neither bothers to wake up as their friends check on them and grabs a camera to take the picture of them snoozing on the beach.
