When he woke up, he wasn't surrounded his friends, his family. No, he was alone and the only companion he had was the forest that surrounded him. His casket was open and the flowers that surrounded him were still alive, no doubt his sun guardian had something to do with that. He closed his eyes in thought and wondered to himself what to do next. The obvious answer was to get up but he hadn't had the time to do so in so long. Well, he hadn't had time to himself that he was aware of. It seemed like only a few moments before that he was, to the eyes of the world, dead and was put in this pseudo state, had to lie to the people most important to him. He lost himself to the thought of them in anguish because of him, he was suppose to protect them and instead he made them suffer.

"They mourned, and the world believed you gone. You cannot fake the heartbreak and you know as well as I do that if more knew, the less likely it was to succeed." Calmly explained a voice above him and he didn't bother to open his eyes, didn't need to. He knew Hibari would seek him out, and if not him then one of the others would. He then felt his cloud guardian lay down beside him, the casket large enough to fit two people comfortable. He breathed in Hibari's scent and relished it. Too long. He was gone much too long. He brought up his hand and stretched it out until he felt a warmth under his hand. He felt the muscle underneath the fabric tense and then slowly relax. He smiled.

"Am I truly so obvious, Kyoya?" He grinned as he heard a huff and felt Hibari bring one arm to wrap around his waist as the other arm sneaked in between them to pull his hand off and entwined them.

"Always, Omnivore," he paused and tightened his hold before whispering something in his ear and let go and stood up. Tsuna opened his eyes and saw something flash in Hibari's eyes before an impatient gleam shined through as he tilted his head toward the path that lead to his casket. He sighed as he slowly made his way out.

"Fine, I get it, time to work so you and I," He stretched beside Hibari and smirked as he felt his 'mate', as Hibari so eloquently puts it, look him up and down, "Can perhaps, get reacquainted." He leaned over to place a soft kiss on Hibari's cheek before moving away just in time to see his family come into view and smiled fondly at their gaping expressions.

"So! What did I miss?"

Just something I wrote late last night or rather this morning if you want to get technical about it. lol. Go easy, it's been a while since I last attempted to write anything for this pairing (or any pairing really) so if the characterization is a bit off then I sincerely apologize. Also, I didn't have anybody beta this so any mistakes are mine and mine alone.
