-Clove's POV-

"Uhhh!" I groan "Why am I soaking wet?!" Katniss, my best friend smirks and drops an empty bucket on my bedroom floor.

"I have absolutely no idea!" she tries to hide her laughter with a cough as I swat her. It's too much, we both end up rolling on the floor laughing our heads off.

"C'mon Clove!" she says between fits of giggles "It's the first day of school! You had to get up anyway!" I glare at her.

"That's the second time you've done that to someone! You did it to Haymitch last week!"

Haymitch is my twin brother and is also one of Katniss' good friends. Yes, I know what you're going to ask next, no Katniss and Haymitch have never been and will never be more than friends. They have more in common than you think, Haymitch is basically a boy version of Katniss, they are always competing against each other, it gets really annoying, but sometimes I join in and beet both there sorry arses. Besides we've known for a while now that the only girl Haymitch has eyes for is Mayslee Donner.

Haymitch walks in, he too is drenched. We both glare at Katniss. "Scratch that, that's three times!" Katniss shrugs and walk out of the room. But we're not letting her get away that easy. We tickle her until we are all rolling around on the floor laughing so hard our sides hurt.

Katniss is the first to recover but she's still grinning when she says; '' You two need to get dressed"

"Yeah..." we both say

I have a shower and get dressed in simple jeans, my trustee converse and a white blouse. I leave my raven hair out and apply minimal makeup. I brush my teeth, pack my bag and head down the stairs grabbing an apple as I pass the kitchen.

We climb into Haymitch's car and drive to school. "Why were you up so early anyway Kat?" I asked. Katniss had stayed the night because her parents were away with their work.

"Oh, I just wanted to wake you!' she smirked

We pulled up in the parking lot and we all got out and headed up to the office to get our timetables. We were Juniors this year and I wasn't looking forward to the extra homework.

After collecting our timetables we met up with some of our friends from last year.

There was Glimmer, basically the popular, blond barbie from those high school movies minus the bitchy part.

Mayslee, a blonde as well, she was pretty shy but really kind when you got to know her.

Jackie, super smart and nice with flaming red locks that had earnt her the nickname 'fox face'.

Marvel, a phyco maniac. That's all I have to say.

Then there's Finnick and Annie, there both dating,

Thresh a big strong African American Dude that is so kind that you can't help but love him.

Johanna, where do I begin to describe her?!

And last but not least, Peeta, Katniss has had a crush on him since forever! Everyone (besides Katniss) knows he feels the same way and the boys wont stop teasing him for not having the nerve to ask her out. Marvel whispers to me that he's finally going to do it this year.

The bell rings and we all head off to our different classes. "What have you got?" asks Jackie

"Music" I reply "What about you?"

"Physics!" she groans "See you at break"
