Jack Sparrow sat at the table and just stared, too much in shock to do anything.
So this was how it all ended? He'd tought that it'd end better then this. The lad had so much going for him. Good wife, a couple of nice kids (even in Jack's opinion), and a good job. He'd even had some adventure in his life, thanks to Bootstrap and Jack.
His life couldn't have ended this way. It just couldn't have!
Jack looked up from the spot on the table top that he'd been gazing at. One look at Elizabeth's face told him that it had.
Wordlessley, Jack stood up and walked around the length of the table. When he reached Elizabeth, she stood up as well. She looked at him through misted eyes a moment before he wrapped her in a hug.
It only took a matter of seconds before she'd broken down completely, and was sobbing into his shoulder. A few tears ran down his stony face as well.
