Chapter One (I do not Own Inuyasha in any way or form)
The dark of night took over the city and brought the life of partying and drinking to the clubs. In one of the many clubs stood a fuming heartbroken black haired female glaring at a tall built tan man. His shining blue eyes looked at her brown eyes. His hair pulled in a neat high ponytail. The female's slim figure stood out against his, with her skin like moon light had kissed it pale.
People around the club stopped as they hurt a slam from the supposed couple. "I had enough with this your woman shit," her voice shouted over the music. "And I have enough with being the second woman in your life!" Tears started to fall from her eyes as pulled the man's tie so he was her level. "Stay with that other girl, I don't care anymore because I'm done with this and with you. Leave me alone for the rest of mine life." Just a few minutes before she answered his cell to find out the other woman in his life was going to have her newly ex boyfriend's baby. She wished she wasn't the one that answered the cell though.
"Kagome," his voiced out in shock. He couldn't believe she was making a scene in front of all the people. He felt like teaching her a lesson but he couldn't as he saw all the eyes on him. It would make a bad name not only for him but his business.
"Koga, We are through," she let go of his tie pushing him back to only fall back into a close by trash can. She turned away from him as people started clapping and laughing. Kagome couldn't take it anymore and just ran. Not once looking back at the steaming wolf demon.
Kagome ran the few blocks to her home looking to the small to story house. When she was safe inside and the door closed she looked around to see it was dark. No one was home. Her back rested against the front door as her legs slowly let her down to sit on the floor. How could everything go so wrong? She slid her purse off her arm and pulled out her pink cellphone throwing the bag off somewhere. Her fingers dialed a number, and she listen to the calming ring as she held it to her ears.
Only a few rings were heard before a male's voice answered the phone. "What do you want?"
"Inuyasha," she sobbed as her body shook. She tried not to be helpless but she couldn't. She needed her friend.
"Kagome, are you okay? What's wrong? Did someone hurt you while you were with the dumbass?" Inuyasha asked sounding panicked. She could just see him worrying now. Maybe it was a mistake to phone, she thought as she tried to wipe the tears that fell down her face.
"He cheated on me," she murmured taking quick and deep breaths. Tears streaming down her face like mini rivers. It was a never ending storm of raindrops that came within the brown orbs. "Please come home Inu..." she trailed off with a sniffle. "I don't want to be alone." Her voice was enough to get any friend to want to come.
"Kikyo and I are coming home now Kags," he said gently into the phone. "We'll be there soon." With that she hung up and leaned her head against the door and sobbed more. A few minutes of sobbing she pushed away from the door and stumbled up the stairs. She wanted to get ready for bed. It was emotionally draining, and she felt tired. Kagome somehow made it to her room and got in her nightgown before falling to the floor.
Her home was Inuyasha's house. Kikyo and she lived with him since Kagome wasn't wanted at the shine anymore and was a little sister to her old love. Kikyo was like an older sister that has been dating Inuyasha for the last 500 years or so. They became all she really needed.

He pulled up in his red car and not even a second after it had stopped Kikyo slammed open the door running toward their house. She didn't even wait for Inuyasha; she had gone all the way into the house with little thought. Kikyo pushed Kagome's door open and turned on the light to see Kagome past out on the floor with her make up still on but in a night grown.
"Kagome," she gasped out as she knelt down beside the girl checking for any injures. Inuyasha appeared in the door way with wide eyes.
"Is she alright?" He asked Kikyo as he stepped closer to the girls with a watchful eye. He felt so angry that he let this happen! Inuyasha growled a bit as his eyes flashed red for a second.
"She's alright Inu," Kikyo sighed before giving Kagome a sat smile brushing her fingers through the knotted hair. "She's just sleeping." After a few moments of silence Kikyo moved a bit. "Inu, could you get me a damp cloth. I rather not put her to bed with all her make-up on her face."
Inuyasha nodded before he disappeared out of the room and reappeared with a wet cloth in his hand. Kikyo took it and started to wipe away the make-up on Kagome's face. "I can't believe that Koga," Inuyasha muttered out angrily. "I'll kill him if he comes close to her!" He shouted.
"Shh," Kikyo glared at him. "Let her sleep." Her brown eyes held pain as she looked down at Kagome. All the make-up was gone from Kagome's face making her look like a small child. Inuyasha saw the look within his girlfriend's eyes. It was a look of sadness.
"She has us here, she won't be alone," he told her gently as his anger vanished. He picked Kagome up and laid her on the bed and Kikyo moved to cover her.
"Sleep well Kags," was all she said as Inuyasha lead them out of the room. "We'll talk to her in the morning right Inu?" Kikyo asked as she moved to their room to get her nightgown.
"Of course," Inuyasha promised.
*B*R*E*A*K*
Kagome yawn as she rolled over slowly waking up. "So soft," she murmured as she hugged her pillow. Everything from the night before came rushing back to her as she sat up quickly to notice that she was in her bed and not the floor.
"Inu? Kikyo?" She called unsure if they were up. The sun had shined through the window onto the floor boards, so it had to be morning by now. Kagome moved so she had her feet hanged off the side of the bed.
The door opened and Kikyo came in with a smile and Inuyasha followed with a tray of food. "You're up," Kikyo moved to sit beside Kagome by the bed. "How are you feeling?" Kikyo put her hand on the younger woman's head.
"She doesn't have a temperature," Inuyasha told his girlfriend, only to end up with a glare. Kagome giggled at the two as she was given the tray. On it was some eggs, toast, Inuyasha place a glass of milk on the night table so it didn't spill.
"Thank you," Kagome said gratefully.
"No problem Kags," they said together. While Kagome ate Inuyasha told her about his new job as Kikyo just laughed at him.
"I'd thought your last job was bad," Kikyo commented.
"Hey what does that mean?" Inuyasha's face went bright red.
"Do you know who owns that store?" She asked raising a brow. Inuyasha shook his head and Kikyo dropped the topic. "So Kags, what happened last night?" Both noticed how she paled and looked toward the window.
"I was just out with Koga at the bar. I talked to some other guy for a few minutes and he went on how I was his woman when he got Ayame pregnant. I just talked, I didn't do anything else and he had the nerve to go after me, and he was going to keep seeing me when he was going to get married to her," Kagome started to tear up. She knew Ayame loved Koga but she thought he would be smart enough to break it off with her as soon as he got steady with Ayame.
"I'm going to rip him to pieces," Inuyasha shouted as Kikyo frowned.
"It'll be alright," Kikyo told her quietly as Inuyasha was pacing around the room in anger. "Inu you're not helping." At that Inuyasha looked up to see brown eyes filled with tears staring at him.
"Kags," he sighed and sat down beside her before he pulled her into a hug. "It's his fault not yours."

A week late, Kagome laid on the couch with a remote in hand flipping through channels. She frowned as Kikyo stepped in front of the television. Since there break up Koga had been phoning almost every hour and coming by the house at 9pm every night but she couldn't find it in her to really care. Kikyo noticed how her friend was and worried. It wasn't Kagome, but a body without a soul wasting away eating chips and ice cream while watching the television. She wasn't going to let this happen tonight.
"Kagome go and get changed we're all heading out tonight," Kikyo told her in a firm tone. It almost sounded like she was like a mother.
"But I don't want too," Kagome whined as she tried to move to see the television behind her friend. Kikyo just moved and turned it off before she crossed her arms and looked right at Kagome with a stern face.
"I don't care if you don't drink or dance but you need out of this house," Kikyo told her. "So you're coming with Inu and I and I don't want to hear another word from you. Now go and change." She point to the stairs with the last word. Kagome thought about talking back but the look Kikyo gave her got her up to her room quick. Inuyasha laughed from his place at the arch way to the kitchen.
"Should I be glad I mated you?" He joked as he got a well-earned glare from Kikyo.
"This is coming from the guy that still calls his mate girlfriend. I think you should start stepping up and get a ring," she replied as her dark brown eyes rolled when he frowned.
"Oi, you're still mine no matter what. So why should I bother," he replied as he moved to wrap his arms around her. She moved before that could happen and slapped him across the face. His silver ears twitched as the tired to blend into his silver hair. He hadn't expected her to really slap him.
"Because you will start sleeping on your own again," Kikyo yelled in his sensitive ears before she went upstairs to see what took Kagome so long. Inuyasha glared at her back as she walked away holding his ears muttering curses.
It didn't take long before Kikyo and Kagome came back down the stairs wearing the opposite colors. Kikyo's black hair was pulled into a high pony and had on a white tank-top that showed enough to get anyone hard and a very short red skirt. Kagome had on a slightly longer skirt but a black long sleeve belly top. Her black hair waved down to the middle of her back. But one thing that stood out to him was that Kagome's eyes had red flecks reflecting from them.
"Your both hot," Inuyasha gave a slightly whistle. "Can we get going my ladies?" A wide smile formed on his lips that gave them a good view of his fangs.
"I guess," Kagome shrugged as she let them drag her to the club a few blocks away that just opened. Loud music was everywhere outside and inside of the club. She saw a lot of people drinking, and dancing about the place. Kikyo and Inuyasha disappeared in the many people as Kagome slowly made her way to the bar. She ran her fingers through her wavy hair as she sat on one of the black bar stools. A slightly pain came from her head as she closed her eyes for a second growling. Once her hand pulled away there was blood on her sharp claw like nails. "I forgot to cut them again," she muttered quickly as she took a napkin to whip her hand clean.
"Claws aren't the easiest things to get use too," a dark voice spoke right behind her sending tiny shivers down her spine. Her dark eyes slowly moved to see his tall frame. He had his long black wavy hair tied back in a low ponytail and his crimson red eyes stood out against his flawless pale skin.
"Naraku," she said before turning to see the bartender left her drink in front of her. "What a pleasure to see you once again, father. I didn't think you'd like to see me, since I did ruin you plans 500 years ago," her voice dripped with venom.
His bright eyes narrowed on to her by her blunt and rude attitude. This was his daughter! The Miko that stopped his plans, and made him hate her once he found out that his fresh and blood was the reason he wasn't running the world. The girl who hid her inner demon within the past but something had changed and he could just feel it coming off of her. "Kagome," he spoke trying to break the tension between them as he sat down beside her. "This isn't like you."
"How would you know anything about me?" She growled at him. "You left me and Souta once you noticed that I looked like that Miko that had ruined everything! I guess you were right though, I was the one who stopped you," she snapped before taking a gulp of her drink. Kagome would like nothing more but to take her anger and sadness out on him but a part held most of it back. "Why don't you just leave?" She spoke quietly looking at the amber liquid in the glass.
"Why don't you?" He shot back with a smirk.
"Inuyasha is my ride," she sighed as her eyes spotted Inuyasha and Kikyo dancing away on the floor. It looked like they were having a great time and she wasn't about to interrupt them.
"You still have that half-mutt around?" He didn't sound pleased about it and she growled at him.
"Don't you dare call him that," her tone would have sent shiver down anyone's spine besides his. "At least Inuyasha was there for me when others weren't." She glared at her father but only noticed that his eyes read confusion. The look got her take another gulp of her drink.
"What do you mean by that Kagome?" He asked as he frowned as he thought on her words. His eyes gave her a deadly look, like he was to kill her. She wouldn't blame it, with that last remark she made. Kagome crossed her arm over her chest with a slight huff. A part of her yelled to walk away another which scared her just wanted her to tell him everything and hope he'd be the father she needed.
"Why do you care?" Her voice snapped out as she stood up placing a few bills by her drink. She wouldn't ruin her friends' enjoyment but she didn't think she could stay here much longer. She didn't even know why her father was here in the first place! Why would she care? He had tried to kill her! Well before he saw her true form in the past….
*FLASHBACK*
Kagome had been walking around in trees looking for Sango, Miroku, Shippo, or Sango's cat demon. Inuyasha was off with Kikyo during this time and she didn't want to see what they did in there alone time. One thing she didn't notice was a bear demon that slowly crept behind her until she was about to turn and it jumped to pin her to the ground. Nothing had frightened her like the surprise of her body being held down by something twice her size. A sharp scream filled the air and it seemed like her heart tried to beat it's way out of her chest. She wasn't able to protect herself like this.
That was the second when her spell slipped off her and her hair turned to pitch black and her eyes burned ruby red. Her skin paled and her ears went slightly pointed. Legs came out of her back as her mouth opened to show little fangs. "Don't you dare touch me," she growled out as the demon stumbled back in fear. Miasma filled the area around them only fueled by her outburst.
What she hadn't known was the Miasma that she controlled brought Naraku to her as well. His ruby eyes watched from a close tree branch with interest. He took in the frighten demon and how she looked almost like him but with more emotion. The bear moved away from her and growled as the purple gas surrounded. It had taken long for it to fall to the ground as it soon would faint since it couldn't breathe within the miasma like she and Naraku could. She frowned as she thought of it dying. "You are just like that bastard Naraku," the bear growled out with the last of it's energy before it fainted. Tears filled her red eyes as she backed away pulling the miasma back within her to save it's life.
"I know I am," she spoke sadly. "He's my father." Kagome turned away from the demon to only be looking right into red eyes that matched her own. Since the threat was mainly over her spell went back up to make her look like a normal human girl. Her mouth hung open in shock as her eyes looked at him in fear. She hadn't meant to tell him! Just great he was going to hate her even before she was born though it didn't matter. He told her at a young age 500 years is a long time to never forget.
"How is this possible?" He asked darkly as his eyes glared down at her. Kagome didn't think she turned and made a run for it only to be pinned to a tree by him.
"Let go of me," she screamed as she tried to push him away from her. Her eyes went red again but that was it since she didn't feel like she was to die or be seriously injured by her father. The only fear was of him hating her for doing what had to be done. There was no feeling to truly fight him off at this moment.
*End OF Flashback*
Kagome turned away from Naraku leaving her drink and walked right out of the bar. She walked down the street deep in thought. Her worst thought was that all she wanted to be the daughter he would have loved and cared for. She wanted her father to love her for her not hate her. It wasn't like Kagome was asking for much. She just wished for her father's love. Was it because her father knew what she was going to do? Yes, most likely that was the case. The reason he never seemed to like her.
"I just want his love," she murmured to herself as a single tear fell down her face. Now that she thought back on her life, all the guys she loved never gave her the love she wanted. She never blamed Inuyasha and Souta had his brotherly love. By Hojo and Koga, even her father never gave her the love she had given them. Both Hojo and Koga broke her heart with cheating. Her father was just another story.
She turned a corner of another building only to be pinned but her shoulders to the brick side of it. Her eyes were dull, didn't even have the emotion that Naraku had been used to. "You never answered my question Kagome."
"Why would I tell you anything?" Her voice broke due to all her thoughts and feelings within her head.
"Kagome," his voice was softer which made her heart jump with hope. "I swear to the devil you will tell me or I will drag you to your mother. I know she would have never let you go to a bar while you're under her roof." She gave a slight emotionless laugh at that thought. She hadn't lived with her mom since she found Inuyasha in this time era and she had that stupid fight about why she should have been a better daughter.
"I don't live with her," Kagome told him before turning her head away from his burning gaze. She didn't want to fight him, but didn't want to forgive her father easily either. He made her life hell as much as Koga did. "I live with Inuyasha and Kikyo."
"That explains why Kikyo told me to go to the bar tonight," he said taking a step back. Kagome's mouth just dropped opened in shock.
"Don't tell me you are fucking Kikyo behind Inuyasha's back," she yelled after recovering from her shock.
"What? Where did you get that from?" Naraku snapped at her. He was getting annoyed by how she seemed to skip his question and he really wasn't going to let her leave until she tells him everything he wanted to know.
"Well you liked her in the past," she replied and he tensed.
"Is that all you think about now? Is it all about the past?" He asked in a gentle tone as his eyes showed how hurt he really was. He did dislike her for stopping him from taking over the world at one point but then he got to see her grow and learn once she hit ten, he left afraid that she might think him in the past was safe as he was now. But he could never tell her that. It was something as a father he needed to do, to protect ones he loves.
"Well it's all I know is you from the past. That was the reason you left because of me," she almost broke into a sob tears streamed down her face fast now. He sighed pulling her into a hug. Her face hid against his chest.
"Kagome I never left you because I disliked you. I wanted to keep you too safe for once or at least safe enough," he said closing his eyes, his chin on top her head. "Now can you please tell me why you seem so broken?"
"I'm not broken," she murmured quietly.
"I told you that you weren't acting like normal. You don't usual run or walk out that easily." She stiffened releasing that he was right. She would have stay in the argument and not walk off. She looked up at her father's red eyes in shock. She couldn't believe that he was right. She was broken and she didn't even see how she got there but she knew what Koga did was the reason she's acting like this. The big city wasn't a really nice place for her now. But where was she to go? Was there a place she could go to get away from this for a bit? Nothing came to mind besides deciding to buy herself a place to live on her own. Was she even ready for that?
"I'm broken," was all she murmured before she just pulled away. It was the words no father wanted to hear their child speak….
