"What the…." His voice squeaked as he walked through the Gryffindor common room. Ron and Hermione were the only ones in the room- Harry had just come back from detention with Umbridge. What he came upon wasn't what he was expecting. Hermione was sprawled on top of Ron while Ron was on the floor.

"Hermione, get off!" Ron ordered as he tried pushing her off.

"It's not what it looks like, Harry. I was upstairs in the dormitory when I received an owl from mum. It had some of her famous cookies in it and- Oh darn." Following Hermione's eyes, Harry saw cookies scattered across the floor. "I ran into Ron as he was walking past the girl's dormitory staircase and fell on top of him. I'm sorry. I wanted to share it with the two of you. They're her famous prize winning cookies," Hermione said as she scooted off Ron. Ron sat up, grabbed a cookie that was near him and took a bite without wiping it off.

"Ron, that's gross, " Hermione said as she picked up the broken cookies. She turned the tin over and saw one left that hadn't been on the floor. Picking it up she stared at it.

"Hermione, that's gross." Ron repeated.

"I'm not going to eat it. I was going to give it to Harry. It hasn't touched the floor," she said, looking at Harry. Harry glanced at Ron.

"That's okay Hermione. Ron can have it. I'll pass and take your word for it." Harry managed a smile.

"Fine. But don't expect me to share anything with the two of you again if that's how it's going to be," Hermione said in a very grumpy tone just as Ron snatched the cookie from her hands.

"The first one was good, so this one must be even better." Ron grinned. "Thanks, Mate." he said to Harry.

"Why are you thanking him? I'm the one who had the cookies in the first place," Hermione grumbled as she threw away the tin of cookies in a near by trash can.

"Because he didn't want it. And I'm hungry again," Ron answered.

"You're always hungry, Ron, " Harry and Hermione spoke at the same time.

All three friends looked at each other and smiled, and started to laugh. Harry was grateful for his two best friends. They always knew how to cheer him up after a bad night with the worst teacher ever. He smiled as he watched Ron eat the last famous cookie.

"Tell your mum, I want more cookies. Don't tell my mum that your mum's cookies are better than hers or she'd hex me into the next world." Ron grinned as he licked his fingers that once held the cookie.

Harry grinned knowing Ron would be in huge trouble with his mum if she ever found out he liked Hermione's mum's cookies better. 'Thank goodness for friends.' Harry thought. He'd be sad all the time without them.
