TO TRUST OR NOT TO TRUST?

On with the story….
She decided to just enjoy the day.
After all, she did need a break – desperately. All that Paladin hunting and the research took their toll on her.
So now, she was sitting comfortably on the high Alps. A warm cup of rich, mouth – watering hot chocolate with fresh whipped cream and a generous amount of shaved chocolate, marshmallows and a pinch of cinnamon was held by her slim hands. She had got it from a nice little café at the foot of the mountain.
She raised the cup to her pale lips and took a sip – relishing the warm liquid as it flowed through her mouth and warmed her insides. She smiled and leaned back, a sigh escaping her lips as she gazed at the peaceful scene before her. The dark green trees with snow on their leaves, the clear blue sky and the rays of the sun on the snow – the perfect relaxing get away one could wish for, a few minutes back.
Her view was rudely blocked, as two men appeared out of thin air. She watched them – too shocked to move a muscle – as they rolled on the snow. They started to throw punches at each other even before they were on their feet. Her mind finally decided to process what was going on.
One guy dressed in a tux, complete with a tie and shades, holding a metallic device is fighting one majorly pissed guy who kept disappearing and appearing at the blink of an eye and also lets not forget the fact that they appeared out of mid – air. All of this could mean only one thing – a Jumper vs. Paladin showdown!!!
Way too annoyed, she decided to let those two fight it out. But another part of her egged her to help the Jumper, finish Mr. Paly soon, so she can go back and enjoy the day.
Sighing dramatically she carefully placed her cup out of harm's way and jumped right behind the Paladin and grabbed his arms form behind. The Jumper's eyes widened in surprise – but that didn't stop him from kicking the Paly nice and hard in the guts. The guy went limp and fell down motionless. A trickle of scarlet blood flowed from his mouth and stained the pure snow.
The jumper picked up the abandoned baseball bat and taking his time, walked towards the unconscious guy and landed the fatal blow on him.
The Jumper took a few steps back , leaned against his baseball bat for support and took in deep breaths. He watched the unknown woman walk towards the dead man, knelt near him and check his pulse. She looked up at him, a smirk on her face and gave him the thumbs down.
