I stood in the stables grooming a steed, when a tutor and pupil walked in to see the new foal. I silently walked over to them and spoke
"Quite a beauty isn't he?"
The two males spun around to look at me, both reaching for their swords.
"Who are you?" spoke the pupil, who has dark shaggy hair and piercing brown eyes.
"I am a maid of Galbatorix, I don't have a name if that is what you are asking" I replied
"Why don't you have a name?" the tutor asked
" I was taken from my family in Kuasta when I was two and a bit and Galbatorix controls me by my true name" not wanting to talk anymore I turned away and silently left the stables to finish up my chores before dark. I was cleaning up a room when the occupant walked in; it was the student from before. He looked at me surprised when I walked out to the hallway.
"What are you doing?" he asked silently
"Finishing up my chores so I wont get punished" I replied and went to walk into another room, before I realized I was finished.
"If I asked Galbatorix if you can get the day off. Would you come with me?" he asked
"I might. Where would we go?" I replied. Getting excited for having the day off.
"We might go exploring the few hill nearby. But first I must get permission for both of us" he waved and walked off to find the king
I skipped down the halls to the large dining room and found the chef that would give me my daily rations. I walked back to my quarters and soon fell asleep.
I woke up to someone gently poking my shoulder. I opened an eye and saw the student sitting on the edge of my bed.
"Mmm..Wah"
"Get dressed quickly were leaving"
He walked out of the room. I changed into my traveling clothes, which consist of a loose long shirt tied to the waist with a belt and a pair of leggings underneath.
I walked to the stables and found the young man sitting on a large black stallion, leading the young colt and a saddled black mare.
"What's happening? The castle is in a state of chaos," I asked
" Something's happened and were leaving Tornac should be here soon. I wasn't able to get you out today but we're running away. Here comes Tornac" the tutor came sprinting into the stables and vaulted onto a steed and galloped off. The young man signaled for me to do the same and I jumped up onto the mare and we were off.
