(Just to clarify before you read this: They assume Jack Ryan's last name because they were adopted by him at the end of Bioshock 1.)
"Kate?"
"Yes, Father?"
"I love you."
"Elizabeth?"
"Yes?"
"I love you."
"Hannah? Marry? Linda?"
"Yes?" they replied in unison, clutching his hand.
"I love you all."
Kate loved her father, and now that he lay on his deathbed she can barely stand being here. Her father was now dying of old age, and they knew that today was going to be the day that Jack Ryan dies. Kate never knew that she would never owe anyone anything more than what she owed Jack. Jack had given the five girls a chance to live, love. The five girls had lost their mental conditioning, their eyesight went back to normal and they were able to be normal again.
Kate was the first of the Little Sisters to be turned back to normal. Kate remembers being sad and angered at Jack for killing her big daddy "Mr. Bubbles". Kate still remembers the good friend that the big daddy was to her, how great he could be or how scary he could be. But now; she didn't care about Rapture, she rarely thought about it. This day was going to be a sad one. Jack's heartbeat was fading quickly, and the five little sisters clenched his hand, supporting him. Elizabeth hugged him. Hannah, Marry and Linda promptly did the same. Kate, being the oldest and the first to be cured, hugged jack and whispered. "I will forget about Rapture. But I will never forget you."
The five women walked out quietly when Jack's heartbeat was reduced to a flat line. The doctor walked into the room. Four little sisters walked out until Kate was left. "Mr. Jack Ryan is dead." The doctor's heart slumped to his chest. He looked at Kate with the saddest look she'd ever seen from a human outside of Rapture. "I'm… sorry for your loss, Ms. Ryan."
She nodded and left, sad because he's gone, happy because her life was just starting with her Fiancé, sad because this was the last memory of her father that she had, but happy… Because of what He'd done for Her and those four other women. Jack allowed them to live life, and enjoy it. To find happiness, to find what they love, who they love.
Tears streamed down Kate's cheek as she left the hospital.
