Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto. If I did, it would it would be called Neji, and I would be Tenten. But I don't, so I sigh... Please read.

The faint sound of rain on a tin roof roused Tenten from her slumber. She opened her eyes to see Neji Hyuuga's staring back at her. "It's raining out." she murmured to him, her voice husky from sleep.

"Yeah, the first rain storm of the season." He said back, softly. The pitter patter of rain got louder, and she sat up.

"Want to go outside?" She asked him, smiling softly. "We could dance."

He cracked a small smile. "More like you would jump around, and I would take care of you when you get sick."

"Neji," she sighed. "Come on, I won't get sick. Let's go."

"Promise?" he asked her, a twinkle in his startling white eyes.

She laughed quietly. "I promise." With a sigh, he got out of bed, and took her hand as they left the bedroom. They went to the back yard, and stood for a moment watching the heavy rain fall down from the heavens. And then, she stepped out of the shelter of the porch, and into the rain. Tenten sighed, tilting her face up to meet the rain. Her tank top clung to her, and her long hair became damp. Neji nearly groaned. He wanted to be close to her and the only way that was possible was to step out into the rain. So he did. His hair got wet and stuck to his back, but he was able to wrap his arms around her. Neji breathed in the sweet scent of her hair, made stronger by the rain. Tenten turned, and kissed him gently under the jaw. They slowly rocked back and forth, her head on his chest, his head on her head. Tenten sighed, utterly content. By the time she surfaced to awareness, the rain had slowed to the faintest drizzle. Neji burrowed his nose in her hair one more time, then whispered in her ear "come on, lets go inside."

By this time, Tenten was so tired, she just murmured "Mmm," and allowed him to pull her into their house.

She gratefully leaned against him, as he started to change their clothes. "what is it about the rain that exhausts you so much?" He asked her.

"I don't know." she sighed against his skin. She fell ungracefully onto the bed, then turned on her side to face where he slept. He chuckled softly, and laid down next to her. She burrowed herself against his side, and he draped and arm around her and held her close.
