The Doctor ran as fast as he could.

There was a sharp pain in his hearts as he thought about the Reapers coming and Rose being attacked and the pain was all HER FAULT.
Although as he thought about it while he ran, it wasn't all her fault.

He could have said no when she asked.

I mean what was he thinking.
He coulda taken Rose anywhere in all of time and space and being the idiot he is he takes her here.
To when the father she never knew gets killed by a hit n run.

He'd yelled at her for not listening to him when she didn't even realize what she'd done had dire consequences.
He never even explained that when HE had interfered with the past it was because he knew what he was doing.
He never even explained the dangers of time travel.
He never explained and she had probably never even heard of the Butterfly Effect.
He kept forgetting she was new at this.
That she hadn't had the schooling he had.
That she was human.
That she even hadn't gone to human college.
That she hadn't always been there with him.
The last thought struck a cord with him.
How long had she been with him?
How long had it been since he regenerated?
How long had it been since he had to destroy his home planet?
How long had it been since the pain of that had been all consuming?
How long has it been that she is the most important thing to him in the universe?
More important to him than pain.
More important to him than the death of his entire planet.
More important than all his previous lives.
At that moment he realized he'd sacrifice all the lives he had left just to save her now.
Just to have her forgiveness.
Just to make her happy.
He would reorder time, turn the world upside down and he would do it all for her.
Wait the last bit sounded like a line from a movie he'd seen once.
Never mind that, he was at the church.
