Return of Old Foes
Chapter 1: A New Pirate
(Note: This is just after the Arlong Arc, and Luffy and Co are hiding out in a town called Areca Village, before they reach Misty Peak.)
"Land Ho!" Luffy yelled as the town known as Areca Village came into view from the Merry Go, little did he know of the surprise to come soon…
"Get that Thief!" Three police officers yelled as they chased a boy through the city, his name was Jack, and had lived on the streets his whole life. He stuffed three loaves of Bread into his backpack and threw his arms at an overhanging wooden Beam and his arms stretched to the beam, he swung round the beam and got behind the officers, running off again. Jack had the power of the Gum-Gum Fruit, aswell as that of the Kilo-Kilo. It made him an incredible thief. He hid round a corner and floated his body parts up onto a roof. The cops ran right past, at that moment, Luffy, Zolo, Nami, Sanji and Usopp hit land.
"I'm gonna go find some Cookin' Supplies." Sanji said, ever since he had joined up with Luffy, he was cooking large amounts of food. He needed to get fuel for the stove, pasta, bread, fish, vegetables and more rice.
"I'm going to get some sword polish." Zolo said. He walked off, Sanji too.
"I'm going to stock up on projectiles." Usopp said, he had really gotten serious when they became wanted Criminals, still a coward, but serious when needed.
"Well Luffy, looks like we have some time to kill, let's look around, I may buy you some food as thanks for beating Arlong and saving my village." Nami said.
"Ok Nami, we'll look around, and then we eat." Luffy replied, he and Nami set off. After about 3 minutes, Jackson ran past the two from behind, followed by the officers again. He let them get closer, and then pulling his previous stunt, using his arms to stretch and swing himself over the officers.
"Luffy did you see that?" Nami asked, shocked.
"Yeah! He ate the Gum-Gum Fruit!" Luffy replied, just as shocked.
"You know Luffy; I think he may be a good member for our crew." Nami said. "Don't forget, I was a thief before I joined up with you guys, then I robbed you blind and ran off, then you beat Arlong and saved my town, now I'm back with you. I owe you, and now we're wanted, and on our way to One Piece. So how about a 6th pirate crewmate?" She finished.
"Hmmm, good idea Nami, plus just imagine the attacks we could come up with in battle." Luffy answered, thinking up a move where he and Jackson grabbed each other's arms, stretched them, and ran headlong into an enemy, flinging them as if they had been hit by a slingshot. It was a cool move, so Luffy went over to Jackson, who had returned when he had lost the officers.
"Hi there. I'm Luffy and this is Nami." Luffy said, grinning.
"Hi." Nami said, smiling.
"Jackson; pleased to meet you." Jackson replied.
"We saw that move you pulled with the navy. Very effective." Nami said, "We're looking for some good members of our pirate crew, how about it?" Luffy asked, just cutting to the chase.
"No thanks." Jackson said, "Maybe another day."
"Aw man!" Luffy said, downtrodden.
Meanwhile, a ship dropped anchor at Areca Port, looking over the edge of the ship were 5 figures, each one looked like people you may recognise.
"He's here boys. Somewhere on this island, those squirts Monkey D. Luffy and his 'pirate crew' are hidin' out, shall we?"
