"Who is this?" Ciel asked.

"She says that her name is Hilda. Hilda Valerie Carver." Sebastian answered, his voice as plain as ever.

"What is she doing here? Ciel inquired.

"She says she needs housing." Sebastian stated.

"Does this look like some orphanage to you?!" Ciel shouted.

"Please. I can work in exchange. I just need somewhere to stay until I can find my way back home." the girl pleaded.

"So you do have a home." Ciel noted.

"yes, but..." The girls voice trailed off.

"But what?" Ciel was growing impatient. He looked up at the girl. She had long black hair, falling messily over her shoulders and face. Her dark brown eyes tracing her light coffee colored skin. Her clothing was very strange. Dark blue trousers and a wrinkled white button up shirt. Everything about her screamed, out of place. She was also, obviously older than Ciel which made her pleading that much more pathetic.

"I'm not from here.. I'm like.. from the future." Hilda answered, but her tone made it seem more like a question.

"Very funny. Sebastian, why are you allowing my time to be wasted with this drabble." Ciel scoffed.

"No, I swear! I am telling the truth. I-I have proof." Hilda frantically explained.

"Don't waste my time." Ciel's expression started to grow more angry than annoyed. The girl rummaged around her pockets, before pulling something out.

"Look. Just please." Ciel turned towards her. She pressed a small button on the bottom of the small rectangular device. The screen lit up, it actually looked intriguing.

"What is this?" Ciel asked. She moved her fingers across the screen and several different things happened. She placed it in Ciel's hand.

"It's called an IPod. It plays music, sends messages, all kinds of things. It obviously couldn't exist in 1888. So please, I hate to beg, but just until I can find some way to return to my own time." Ciel browsed through the device, when music began blaring out of the small speaker. "Oh um... Just press the button in t-the middle at the bottom." He complied and the music stopped. "I'm sorry, thats the only proof I really have, but I'm not lying. I can cook, clean, tend to the garden and any pets, I know first aid and CPR. I can do anything you ask."

"Fine." Ciel sighed, setting the iPod down. "Sebastian will show you to your quarters." Ciel picked up some papers, completely detaching himself from the situation for now. Hilda bowed to him, and followed Sebastian out of the study. Sebastian led her down several hallways and stairs until he reached a door.

"This will be your room. I will bring you your new clothing." Sebastian said plainly as he walked off. Hilda walked into the room and looked around. The bed was huge. She walked over to it and sat down, and it was super comfortable, not at all what she expected for a servant. To the left was a bathroom, it had an average size bathtub,a small window and a sink, a pretty simple bathroom. Hilda stood up and walked towards the wardrobe in the corner of the room. She opened the door and a large mirror was on the other side. There was a knock on the doorframe.

"Hello Miss. Carver. May I come in?" Sebastian asked. Hilda nodded.

"Yes, of course."

"Here are some clothes for you. It consists of several maid outfits, a couple night clothes and one casual, as I am assuming that you don't have one suited for this time period." Sebastian explained as he examined Hilda. "You will be a handmaiden. I will give you your orders everyday, so report to the main foyer at precisely 5am. Please try to speak and act with any type of etiquette you may have."

"Yes sir, Mr. Michaelis." Hilda bowed as she was handed the clothes.

"Goodnight." Sebastian said as he exited the room, closing the door silently behind him. Hilda placed the clothes in the wardrobe and changed into the long nightgown. She laid down on the bed, gazing out the window, then at the clock across the room, that showed 10:27.

"I will get home." Hilda whispered to herself as she fell asleep.
