"It's now or never, guys," Daniel said, carefully folding his clothes and setting them on the marble bench near Sam. "I know I'm not going to miss the chance to check out this Fountain of Youth." Sam eyed Daniel's striped boxers as he walked through the arch and into the courtyard beyond.

She turned back to find Teal'c watching her with considerable interest.

"What? Aren't you going to take the plunge, Teal'c?" she asked, matching his gaze and fingering the waistband of her BDU's. They couldn't just stand there forever. Teal'c had only recently joined SG-1 and, with separate locker rooms on base and only a handful of overnight missions under their belt to date, it would be the first time she'd removed her clothes in front of the Jaffa warrior.

Sam took a deep breath and lifted her foot to the bench to start unlacing her boot. First time for everything, she supposed, and it wasn't like they were getting totally naked. She perked up at the thought as she looked down her belt buckle.

She could hear the soft shush-shush sound of clothing being removed behind her as she lifted her t-shirt over her head and pulled her bra back down. Adjusting her underwear, she turned around to see if Teal'c was ready.

Her eyes shot wide-open as she turned to a full-frontal view of a naked Teal'c. Sam blushed, her cheeks turning several shades of red as he stood there, his hands held easily behind his back and his head tilted slightly as he considered her standard Air Force-issue bra and underwear.

"Didn't the colonel or Daniel tell you about going…about the risks of going commando?" Sam asked after her voice returned to her.

"Commando?" Teal'c asked.

"Uh, without underwear to cover your, uh, you know," Sam said, stumbling over her words as she tried to guess what Jaffa warriors would call it and cursing Daniel and the Colonel for not covering this kind of thing with Teal'c. She finally nodded at his crotch. "Underwear's a really good idea when you wear zippered BDU's. And for keeping shrapnel and bugs out, and you know…."

"No. I do not," Teal'c responded, shaking his head solemnly. "Underclothing was not necessary for male Jaffa, even in war. Jaffa armor comfortably accommodates a warrior's body."

Sam's eyes traveled the length of his body. She was sure it did. She lifted her eyebrows and nodded toward the arch. "Better get going before Daniel and the Colonel wonder what happened to us."

"Indeed," Teal'c agreed, nodding at her and turning to walk into the courtyard ahead of her, his hands still held behind his back. Before he turned Sam swore she saw the first traces of a smirk that she'd ever seen on the somber-faced man.
