Hey, I'm a bored and came back from Ironman... So I decided to try SilverUmbra's challenge! The LatiosXLugia one...
Oh yes, this one is dedicated for those who died in United States' wars. I salute you all! No, I'm not against the War in Iraq. And yes, this will have a Pokemon eqivililant of that. A little Memorial Day fic!
This is also a What If, you'll find it out soon enough!
Disclaimer: I do not own Pokemon.
Oh yes, I'm listening to Final Wars by Buckethead during this fic. It's a great instrumental! A Calm one... I think it'd add more to the fic if you listen to it on Youtube while reading!
War.
Death.
Fire.
That is what was going through Latios's mind as he looked at the battlefield. He looked all around. Innocent people were dying. All because of the "evil" side. These Poke-terrorists, they would not stop until everything dies. The world, the legends, everything except for them.
That is what Latios feared as he saw a humvee driving, attempting to avoid enemy fire.
He would love to go in there and help, yet he would get shot if he did.
He gasped as the humvee now drove over huge dunes.
"Funvee..." Latios heard beside him.
"Lugia, how is it "fun" at all? They could die!" Latios exclaimed to the blue bird right beside him.
Lugia flapped her wings right beside him on the cloud and chuckled.
"I know, but still, you need to lighten up." Lugia said, patting Latios on the back.
"I have a little sister to protect." He murmured.
"Yes, but still, she isn't "little" anymore. She is grown up. Rumors have been swirling around that she's going out with Rayquaza."
That made the feathers on his neck stick up. Rayquaza was reckless. He would kill and Legendary that woke him up! And Latias as his girlfriend? It was disasterous!
"So, you are telling me that she isn't little? I mean, she's younger than most of the Legends!"
"I know, but still. Most of the Legends are centurys old." Lugia explained, Latios was deep in thought, he saw another soldier die on the battlefield.
"Plus." Lugia began, "We all die. It won't be long, until you realize that you are dead, with Latias still under your wing."
This brought tears to Latios's eyes. He could feel the end nearing for him also.
"I...I'm afraid to die." Latios trembled, going into a state of sorrow.
"Listen, Latio (What Lugia Called him), you need to let Latias do what she wants! I mean, she is yours, of course. But there will be time when you die, she will be not trusting you for help. Why not lessen the shock, why not let her do what she wants?"
"That's not the point!" Latios screamed.
"What is, then?"
"If I die, who will protect her? I mean, our people are dying because of another group of our people! OUR people! It's just, if I die, I'm afraid that people will use my energy for something...sinister! I can't stand that fact!" He cried, tears rolling down his face.
The blue felt a cool wing touch his face as his tear was gone from his face.
"And if that happens, I will be there." Lugia cooned. Latios's face showed shock as he lovingly tucked Lugia's head into his chest.
"I...I love you, Lugia!" Latios cooned. Lugia blushed.
"I love you too, Latio!" She said.
The two's eyes then went wide with realization as the two gently separated.
"Ahem..." Latios grunted, scratching his arm behind his head.
"Want to go?" Lugia murmured,
"Right behind you..." Latios said, until he noticed something in the form of a rocket flying towards the Sea bird.
"Look out!" Latios exclaimed. Lugia looked down in shock. The rocket flew past Lugia. Lugia was not harmed.
"These terrorist using RPGs, they can't hit the broad side of a barn..." Lugia laughed.
Yeah, it's a fic that I decided to do in my free time... Again, I'm suggesting for everybody to listen to "Final Wars" by Buckethead during this.
See ya later!
