Disclaimer- I do not own Death Note, all characters in this story that are not in the anime, manga, or movies, are part of my own warped imagination.
Since I only watched the anime and movies, L's and Light's death used in this story is the one that is the ending in the movie.
This is my first fan fiction, let alone the only story this size I've ever tried, so if I get decent reviews from the prologue I'll upload the next chapter and so on.
All Things are Equal in Death
Nothingness….no that isn't what this is, because I am here, and there is something letting me stand. Ryuk once said that all humans are equal in death, then where is Ryuzaki, or Misa, they used the Death Note to, where are they? "Come back to us Lord Kira, save us from this world!" Am I really hearing that, or has this loneliness and darkness, finally over come me? I have to find a way out of here…to be free from this prison, and make sure the new world is created before Kira's deeds aren't forgotten! There must be a way out of here…how do Shinigami get from their world to ours, if I could just figure that out I could escape…
A week has passed, at least what I can figure out as a week, since the last time I heard that voice, calling out for me to come back. When the next time I hear the voice, I will follow it. It has been another day since the voice, I hear it calling, the faintest I've ever heard it. I MUST follow this voice. I can hear it growing louder, nearly screaming now. I have found this door I guess, it feels like water being suspended in place.
What is this place? Everything is either dead or decaying, so bleak and dark. There isn't anyone around me that I can even classify as human. Where am I? Wait, Ryuk said that the Shinigami world was dead and decaying. Hahahahaha this is the Shinigami's realm, this is Kira's second chance at a new world, I can still be the God of the new world, or rather, a Death God of the world!
The prologue was from Light's point of view (AKA in his head), the next chapter (If people like the prologue) will be from third person since there will be more than one person now.
Since this is my first fanfic and I'm busy in rl, expect the chapters to be short (but hopefully longer then this).
