Chapter One: Prologue

Our universe is just one of many. Somewhere out there, beyond the reach of modern human instruments, beyond the scope of the Hubble Telescope, lies an infinite number of other universes, floating in nothing. Absolutely nothing, not a vacuum, just nothing. And in every one of those universes, one choice, and just one choice is different. It could be one choice that you make, it could be one choice made by family, relatives, friends, aquaintances, customers. Or it could be on slip of a finger on a trigger, or one atom not being in the right place. The choice could be anything. You do not make your future, your destiny. It has already been decided for you.
God created our universe. What if an ethereal being, in an even higher place than God created this "multi-verse"? We know that even the best of beings makes mistakes. And what if this ethereal being makes a different decision in the minutes of creation of the "multi-verse"? What if he accidentally linked two of these very different universes together so that they partially affect each other? The consequences may be great.
In our world, Harry James Potter was supposed to be born to James Potter and Lily Evans Potter. He was supposed to survive the dark Avada Kedavra curse and reduce Lord Voldemort, the then feared dark wizard, to nothing but a spirit. He was supposed to go to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry at the age of eleven, become best friends with Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, and live with his Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia at Number four, Privet Drive.
In another world linked to ours, James Potter and Lily Evans never became a couple, never even met each other. Harry Potter was never to be born. Voldemort was still alive for there was no one to stop him...
Because of the mistake made by this ethereal being so long ago, the two worlds partially affect each other, weaving a different path for young Harry Potter. Due to this mistake, the two worlds have fused into one, and the people living in it make their own futures. Because of this mistake, decisions would be altered, Harry Potter was to be born and would survive the dreaded killing curse on October 31, 1980, but Voldemort would still be alive and at full power.
